Well hopefully some of the ones we want to offload might find a better financial deal elsewhere and the clubs come to an arrangement, so that we can get them off our books and sign decent players chosen by the new manager.blue nige wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 9:20 pmWell I hope so because Paul Hornby explained that at the last meet the board meeting!bluessupporter wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 9:18 pm Did we ever discover if they would have to take a reduction in pay if relegated?

Re: Adam Murray
37 games without defeat at Kidderminster out of 46 is pretty good. Obviously money speaks but he must have liked the "vision" for the club.
Now lets see who comes in and who goes (player wise)

Can we not just swap our team for theirs?

Re: Adam Murray
Looks like a good move by the board this. Getting a manager to leave a club he's just taken up - and move to one which has had the season we've just had - is pretty impressive. Now we need to back him, and that includes riding out some uncomfortable spells which, inevitably, there will be. They've got it done early too so he can crack on. Time to look forward, not back. Welcome to Barrow Adam! COYB!!

Contract or no contract loan them out one by one to a league where they will get the shit kicked out of them.
Soon move on

Re: Adam Murray
First job for him is to watch the last X amount of Barrow games from season just gone and identify who might be in his plans...Then chat to each individual one by one
There are a fair few we'll be keeping and a fair few that will do well for us in the National League.

.. the thought of having to watch some of those games back though. Maybe he'll be advised not to

Re: Adam Murray
2 things I love about this appointment
He’s the manger not head coach
It’s really upsetting the Carlisle fans

Let there be BARROVIAN BEDLAM

Re: Adam Murray
Not much evidence of that on their forum. Anyway, what do we care what Carlisle fans think!Barrowfan92 wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2026 11:56 pm 2 things I love about this appointment

Re: Adam Murray
Well, bit of experience, manager not coach, quick appointment, all good so fingers crossed he can work miracles with the shower of shite he’s inherited. Must be some package they’ve offered to lure him from a side who have just won promotion? Hopeful he can be a good appointment
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

Re: Adam Murray
Sounds like there’s been some proper money thrown at this appointment, and that seems to be borne out by what the Kiddie chairman had to say on Murray’s departure. Still, shows a bit of ambition on our part and, indeed, on his.

My first chat to him is available on here

It will be going on the Barrow AFC feed on BBC Sounds at some point for those who aren’t fussed about it in visual form
