Manager. It was touched on by Adam in his first interview. Worth a listen.

Another great read from the Beans crew.........

If you have a read through the 'Murray Gone' thread on the Kiddies Forum it seems they really want Mark Cooper as their manager
They are also suggesting bring back Phil Brown

Too late he was appointed Chelmsford manager a couple of weeks ago. Good manager at that level.

Thank god we never got Phil brown permanently !

It will be going on the Barrow AFC feed on BBC Sounds at some point for those who aren’t fussed about it in visual form
Really good interview Adam.Sounds like we have found the right person at last.Really honest assessment of Barrow and somebody who is not afraid to get rid of people if he needs to.Hopefully if he does well we tie him down after the first year so that he cannot be cherry picked without a lot of money changing hands and the same for players with potential. We never again want to lose our whole midfield for nothing.

Do genuinely think this should be a good move though, needs to get cracking on that released/retained list, get some of these under contract on the available for transfer list and pray some sucker takes them
He can transfer list as many as he wants; the contracted players are under no obligation to leave.
Nor can they be sent out on loan without agreeing as this forms a new contract.
In other words we're stuck with these overpaid primadonnas until their contracts run out unless they agree to leave.

The drop in salaries for those still contracted to us as discussed on this weeks Barrow Social could see many seek a move elsewhere

In some cases, that would be a good thing! More room for change.

I feel relaxed and happy now cos it appears we have landed a good un in Murray.
I was dreading next season-not any more!

I for one hope we hit the ground running.I,m hoping the existing players buy into his methods which will probably mean more time at FC United and harder training sessions to increase their speed on the ball.
If some of them spit their dummies out and kick off I wouldn,t be surprised if the club deregisters them till their contract runs out.By doing this they will cease to be a footballer who anybody wants.
The result will be that their dream of being a professional footballer will be over and finally they will wake up and smell the coffee.
Players need to realise that their career is short whereas a club carries on.The time for letting the players rule the club is over.
. Onwards and upwards. Here is to a great season where we let a manager manage without any outside interference. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

So deregister them but pay them for doing nothing until the contract runs out. Hmmmm not exactly a good way to run a business but it’s a bloody costly one
