Exactly.
But if nobody is stupid enough to bid then we are stuck with him. Fingers crossed there is indeed a buyer out there.
I hope so. He’s hopeless!

Now it’s about whittling the squad down, who wants to stay and fight for the new manager and promotion, who he thinks he can trust.
Some will have clauses where they can move on if relegated if they can find takers others won’t fancy a wage reduction by being integral in losing our league place.
Next week or so should give us an idea of what we have remaining.
Personally think around eight to ten of the nineteen will move on.

there is a nucleus of a squad who could do something.
You need 7-8 players on top of their game to carry three or four who may be having stinkers. As you get to 5 or more not having good games, you will struggle. That was the case too often. Have we got a nucleus in that retained list….. maybe.

Trusting Murray’s judgement. Back him, give him time and he will turn us into a good side.

There’s multiple hundreds of appearances across the premier league, championship, league one and spl in that squad, the talent has been there at some point it seems but have to start showing some bottle

Hmm, that doesn't mean they are ever going to gel as a unit. It hasn't worked with this squad. 20 mins here and there and the odd scrappy win was never going to be enough. I cannot think of one match we’ve dominated from start to finish in a game and i struggled to see who the leaders were out there. They've seen off 5 coaches last season. He really has got his work cut out.

Id like them all to go, but if i had to chose, id keep a few like MJ Williams. So maybe 15 to leave, 4 to stay

I still keep seeing “spine of a decent squad in there” I absolutely do not know what this is based on. 5 coaches tried. We ended worse than we started. Where is this “decent squad in there” actually coming from?

We need to sign the spine! We don’t have one!

I agree, but there a lot who are looking at that retained list and thinking they may come good. I just don’t know what they are basing this on. It needs more than a few to turn this around if he is serious about a promotion

Totally agree. I do believe though that 1 or 2 of those players have been completely mis-managed by the managers we had. 1 example being Barky, 1 million percent a winger, nothing else!

Don't forget next season we have a manager, and not a head coach and DOF. This could make a helluva difference, coz I think this manager will want to do it HIS way as it should be, and that could mean turning around some of the poorer players from this season.
