Small but Good Ideas

Post by barrowaberdeen » Fri May 29, 2026 8:06 pm

We will need to maximise what we have on a matchday and in the week make it a bit better and also try and bring in more away fans to the X Bar and Fanzone (Excepting an enormous Carlisle support)

So very pleased to see a pool table in the X Bar and a dart board going in.

I also had a good chat with Tracy from the communizy side who with her husband really gets the local junior football etc and wants us to offer a hub for events etc.

Then there's some great plans to link what we do for the 125 with the club, so we are working together...club media, Beans, Trust etc etc.

We are also helping each other with looking for grants and whatnot.

Anyway, made me feel optimistic. Got to turn that momentum back around and reconnect.

Need to get the PA system working properly so you can actually hear the announcements and ditch that dreadful walk out song please.

A pair of binoculars so the announcer can actually let us know the substitutions as they happen and not 5 mins later

Aberdeen's attempt at positivity already dragged into the doldrums by the typical Barrow mentality. Well done boys

A previous announcer actually used binoculars, usually for the visiting players, with whom he was not familiar.

There was a good discussion about the fanzone on the Barrow social; mainly around getting the different food trucks on and advertising them etc

Exactly. That walk out song is synonymous with failure and needs to go. It was also embarrassing playing that video on the scoreboard at the last game of the season when we were almost surely relegated.

I agree it's set too loud and this distorts the sound but it's all about money perhaps we could do a deal with Searle audio??

The music in the ground needs turning down a touch.

Very [SwearFilter] loud, does my head in

All about opinions, I quite enjoyed watching it.

On the pre match video, wouldn't it make sense to share this? Just a thought.

But you can't hear yourself talk, let alone the person next to you.
