Just a thought to all those people advocating getting the council involved in getting us a new stadium, The Council covering Halifax ( think it's Calderdale ) want to sell it to the owner of Huddersfield Town because they can't afford to continue running it !

"the start, we have argued that this process was rushed, lacked transparency and failed to properly engage with fans and the local community.

"This must be more than a single cabinet meeting – it needs to be a decision to carry out a full, time-taking review of the stadium with all options appraised, including public ownership, before making a final decision. That is all we have ever asked for."

Davy previously said the stadium, which is an asset of community value, would see "major investment" in order to bring the ground up to Super League standards.

A site for a new stadium to be built for the Giants in Kirklees is still being identified, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

In September, Davy announced that the 2026 season would be the Huddersfield Giants' last at its current home of the ACCU Stadium.

"We will have a new home base for which could be a number of options at this stage," he said in a statement posted on the club's website.

Councillor Dan Sutherland, Reform's Calderdale group leader, has met with the council's chief executive to set out the group's priorities, according to Reform.

Labour had full control over Calderdale Council since 2019, but Reform secured a majority on Friday.

Reform gained 34 seats, Labour secured eight, Greens seven, Liberal Democrats two and Independents two and the Workers Party one, with the Conservative Party losing all its 11 seats."

You live in a dream world mate !

Who’s Managing The Project?
Cumberland Sports Village Ltd, a company limited by guarantee, was set up to develop the project and will manage the ongoing operation of the completed facility.

Development management is being undertaken by Cumberland Sports Village Management Ltd, a private limited company supported by a wide range of consultants experienced in sports development projects including FWP, Curtins, PSA, Baker Mallet, Wardell Armstrong and Savills.

Construction of the adjacent Community Pitch will be undertaken by the Football Foundation and when complete the operation of the facility will also be undertaken by CSVL.

As the accountable body for funding, Cumberland Council are working closely with CSVL in the development and delivery of the proposals.

One question l would love to ask you have you ever placed a positive comment about the club on this blogg. Date and year would be useful, it would give everyone a chance to see what a varied set of views you hold.

Somewhat ironical you use the term bleat I can concur that's something a happy clappers would do ..

I made a observation that we should have not been at FC United ground as we seem to have had a large number of lingering injuries whilst there.

I also said we should have left sooner for which I was accused of not giving the club a break.
I thought ostriches were only found in Africa.

By failing to prepare you are preparing for fail.
We walked into relegation because of this
I might be controversial it's my view as much as the flock bleat about it.
Used the word bleat quite deliberately, but thought you would choose to miss the point! I'm far from being what you would describe as a happy clapper, but I do try not to disrespect those who don't share my views by applying silly labels to them. My last word on the subject, you may be pleased to hear! 😁😁
Happy to hear anything as long as it's constructive.

The latest development in the replacement of Borough Park, to create a home for Reds and Town, appears to be that additional funds have now been made available to restore/rebuild terracing which was not part of the original plan.

Plans are said to be under development for a future community pitch.

At what point the redevelopment of a football ground for shared use becomes a Sports Village is moot. Nevertheless, good luck to both clubs in their future home.

I couldn’t agree more. Looking at artist impressions it appears room for expansion and further development will exist too. Looks and sounds positive imo
