I am very aware that Shipley regularly got stick on this forum, but one thing I will say is that he was one of the very few last season who absolutely gave 100% every time he set foot on the field. I wish him well.

Agreed, I liked his commitment and remember his late winner against Notts County.

I’d rather have a team of Lewis Shipleys than a team with some of last season’s frauds.

He never shirked and scored some important goals for us. I hope he gets a decent move.

That shouldn’t be celebrated that should be the bare minimum from every player

Good luck to him, never good enough sadly for us but he cared, his reaction when we lost at Bristol said a lot. And he put the effort in which is more than can be said for some. Unfortunately nowhere near the level we needed and was another poor signing.

Anderson on the other hand who clearly never wanted to be here and didn’t post the club at all, yet lands at Accrington and is waxing lyrical about how great they are and he feels at home already on day one.
Get smith and Cameron out the door and I’ll be happy. Still think there’s a player in Barkhuizen and harper
And in a better team they can thrive if they want to that is…

There was definitely a work in progress with Shipley in my view, and still the right age to improve although a bit error prone. Definitely understand Adam Murray looking elsewhere as he wants consistency week in week out, the deep cleanse continues. Like some of the others will look on to see how they progress with better schooling.

I agree with all of this, but I'd also understand anyone who arrived in January being unimpressed.

That’s also true but doesn’t excuse him bottling tackles the one at home to Crawley which they scored from stands out, unforgivable.

Agreed again, but unfortunately there was always a costly mistake in him.
At the very least he was a trier.

Absolutely right, but in many cases it wasn't, which is the point being made, I think.
