It was Danny rose doing Danny rose things
Smith went on a run - had a shot which was saved then another which was blocked and Rose tapped it in

Re: Barrow V Holker
Don’t know why people read too much into this fixture, it’s all about an afternoon out, looking at new players and putting money into HOBs kitty.
Their keeper had probably the game of his season, he did really really well.
An enjoyable afternoon - as it usually is.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Where is the interview please.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:28 pmIf you listen to Adam Murrays interview after today's game and read between the lines in what he says then Barkheuizen and Kouyate wont be involved at all. I would suggest that unless a club comes in for any of them all the rest will be.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:22 pm Enjoyed today. Spent most of it, discussing which players still under contract, won’t be with us come the big kick off.
There's something really off with the whole Barkhuizen situation imo,not seen him in any of the training videos.
Is he on what they call "gardening leave" ?

I’d assume he was/is on big money and was dogshit last season so hopefully we can get rid of himWalneyOne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 11:48 pmWhere is the interview please.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:28 pm

No names are given but Adam Murray said that there are two further players at the club who have been told they are surplus for requirementsWalneyOne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 11:48 pmWhere is the interview please.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:28 pm

Re: Barrow V Holker
Barkhuizen was a bad egg in the camp last season. Probably on a good wage you could see by his body language he didn’t want be here. His performances for a player who had played most of his career at championship level were imo abysmal.WalneyOne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 11:48 pmWhere is the interview please.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 8:28 pm

Re: Barrow V Holker
Cheers for the link!
Murray has had the players for a week.
No sign of Barkhuizen in training vids so whatever is going can't be coming from Murray if he's not even seen him train.
Re: Barrow V Holker
Well a good start.
Lets see how we fair against better opponents.
Hopefully Murray knows what positions needs reinforcing and it will be highlighted against Blackpool with Evatt managing them.
Need to keep winning and keep in the right frame of mind.
Hopefully we can see the real Danny Rose as he was left isolated last season.

He’s the new Lutel James; sure we’ve been linked with him pretty much every summer for last 5 years

Speaking to a player before the game who said his name was Ryan, so it could be him.
