Good interview with Murray after the game. Strong interest in Stanway and he confirms Barkhuizen has been told he wont feature next season. He wants two more in but we need two to move on before he brings anyone else in by the sounds of things. Link below

This is supposedly coming from a new manager who hasn't even seen him train.
Not Murrays decision is it?
Hardly rocket science to see that for whatever reasons he's been told what to do by the hierachy within the club.
Not saying I disagree with the decision but don't treat fans like we're idiots.

Sometimes things quite rightly need to be kept in house but Maybe Murray watched videos of last years games as if he did he will have seen how rubbish he was how his body language was as if he didn’t want to be here. Also don’t forget a couple of last years back room staff at the training ground are still with us plus a number of players who will be aware only to well how he was last season
The fact he couldn’t get a club to train with last pre season and had been training alone until we signed should imo have been a red flag to us.
The problem we have is he was probably a big earner and him still being with us appears to be hindering us bringing players in

Some valid points there MSST but it looks to me like the club don't want to pay his wages and are making an effort to force him out, but surplus or not as long as he's a bluebird we're paying him. I don't really buy that one player in his first season could be so disruptive when we had the likes of MJ and SF in the dressing room.
It has been mentioned elsewhere that an agreement " by mutual consent" was close, suggesting a pay off and a parting of the ways is imo the best outcome.

The bottom line is us fans don't know amd won't find out.
Anyway back on topic, good workout against league opposition and another win!

I quite enjoyed large parts of the game today.
Oakley and Walker on the right hand side 1st half looked very promising as did Xavier Benjamin 2nd half.
Kennedy Digie is an absolute beast at the back - didn't look like losing a header.
Innes Cameron impressed with his link up play.
Generally none of the new signings disappointed.
Of the trialists;- Harrop (28) looked good - composed in the middle and linked play well. The No 20 2nd half (Ryan Bartley?) looked solid and as he was one of those on the team building in the lakes he looks like he's either signed already* or will do.

*The manager said before the Crankshaw signing that there were 2 more deals that had been done but not announced yet.

Too speculative and accusatory. Particularly in the absence of any evidence.

I hope we bring in another forward seem too light with just cameron rose reid not enough fire power if we want play offs hopefully 2 more leave barks an another so 2 more come in giving us a squad of 23 how many defenders an midfielders do we have i know we have 3 forwards and 3 keepers

Still need a Centre forward and decent midfielder ala Rooney.
As for Stanway just seen that head the ball Pickford concede another goal he should have stopped, that and the one against Congo .
Need to leave Stanway alone.

Winterbottom first choice Barrett will be number two if/when Stanway goes imo

2 lads on the right in the 1st half looked like a right handful which is good to see

The trailist who played left CH/LB was absolutely woeful. All in all a good run out

Brian taught him well good values.
When Burton were in financial trouble they were about to sack some office staff.
Clough said he and his assistant would resign to save the club money and save the jobs by not asking for the rest of his contract to be paid up.
That's what football is about.
