I think we’ve got a great deal out of this. Not consistent enough for me, and too many errors which cost us dearly, looking back.

You put Tim Deasy in the sticks instead of him, I think we stay up.

An interesting read, but perhaps it emphasises that statistics don’t give the full picture. Far from it.
Capable of excellent saves, and very fast off his line, but equally capable of glaring errors.
Good luck to him nonetheless

Even the best make errors but Wyll is a decent keeper at EFL level imo. Unfortunately following the concussion injury the sides formed dipped he suffered a lack of confidence and the insufferable key board warriors made him a scapegoat with some horrendous and ill thought out criticism that was imo over the top and unwarranted
I’m certain the lad will go on to have a decent career in the EFL and with the decent sell on clause the club got from the Cheltenham deal will repay us with a few quid too

I think he's a good keeper and I thought was given some very harsh criticism last season when he was far from the worst performer. Unfortunately goalkeeper errors get scrutinised far more than ineffective performances from outfield players and there was plenty of them last season. Good luck to him

The problem was he was making errors and still getting selected; Winterbottom should have been given a run of games. We’d have almost definitely still gone down but there was no harm in trying

Stanway, who had a year remaining on his contract at newly relegated National League club Barrow, joins player-goalkeeping coach Joe Day and promising youngster Mamadou Diallo at Whaddon Road.

Day, 35, has started each of Cheltenham's last 81 League Two matches since joining the Robins two years ago.

Academy product Diallo, 18, is expected to head out on loan this season to gain senior experience.

Many fail to remember that Winterbottom suffered a bad shoulder injury over Xmas at Tranmere and at the time it was reported he would be out for three months. During that time we appointed Gallagher and Sacked him appointed Dino and sacked him so by the time he was fit Foley was in charge and Rochdale took Winterbottom on an emergency loan and from all accounts was at fault for a couple of goals. Foley rightly or wrongly played safe in his tenure and played who he felt he could trust. He didn’t fancy Winterbottom and the rest as they say his history.
My owns opinion is that playing him would not have made a jot of difference the squad by that time appeared resigned to the fact they were going down
