Wind is likely what we call a breeze on Walney.

Commentary fine; they can't help being southern. Perhaps their THE NORTHERN WAY remark could be our matchday slogan.
I don't have to look hard to find anything negative with this team. It's abysmal. No skill, no pace, no passing ability. The only art many of them seem to have mastered is how to grab hold of opponents. Luckily, most of our opponents are similar which probably will save us from relegation but the chances of this team being near the top are zero.
Your 'breeze' didn't seem to effect the match much, did it?

That one is on Murray. We know he likes his players to go 1v1 and defenders and midfielders to charge about the pitch that’s fine. First half it worked and we got away with it , 2-0 up at half time. Kill the game, settle down. Absolutely no need to continue playing in that manor.

Spot on. My son and I both said straight away at half time that was the obvious thing to do with a midfielder coming on and Williams dropping into the back 3. For what Walker and Whitfield had done in the first half, we'd also have brought them both off, brought Cameron or Reid on to play alongside Lane and played 5-3-2.

It worked because it was almost impossible to play against the wind on that pitch but it should have been obvious what would happen in the second half. If you have teams which can't pass the ball to each other on the floor (almost all teams in this league) and can't do much more than hoof it forward then you know what's going to happen playing with and against the wind on a difficult pitch.

Good point? That was two points dropped in emphatic Barrow style. It was obvious they’d come out and have a go second half and yet we changed nothing and defended a third of the way up the pitch and watched it unfold.

What annoys me is not dropping two points, we’ve seen that happen all too often before, it’s the way we are playing the game. Let’s not mistake 100% commitment and hard tackling with horrible shirt pulling and wrestling players to the ground. That’s not football.

It’s how Murray played it as a player he ain’t gonna change. He was a horrible midfielder to have in an oppositions team

I thought artificial grass had been outlawed. They should not allowed into the conference

Agreed. The only reason I watch it is because I'm from Barrow. If I wasn't, I wouldn't watch it if you paid me!

I only go because it’s my team but it’s awful to watch. Even if we are winning it’s hardly going to entice the floating fan to Holker street.

So disappointing . . . it's all a bit psychological isn't it, because we'd all be buzzing if we had come back from two down but when it's the other way round it hurts.

It was like the wild open plains of the mid-West out there, the amount of space they had for their two goals. So much space in fact that if the Wichita Lineman had been in the middle of that endless acreage he'd have been feeling a tad lonesome.

The only negative positive is that we didn't lose and the way that second half went it was very much looking that way.
