Not good enough once again , absolutely no quality in this team apart from Ward.
Tactically I’ve got no idea what the idea is
Murray’s got his men so he’s got no excuse

Make no bones about it. This is bad, double relegation bad if we don’t cut our losses now. That’s god awful and I’ve seen some shit football in my time. Team selection and shape is a lucky dip, no tactics, no quality [SwearFilter] me that was shocking. Wouldn’t let Murray back on that coach get him gone tonight.

Utterly dismal. Very little to be enjoyed in anything around the club at the moment sadly, feels like the club haven't made a single right decision in over 2 years, just dross after dross.

Re: Solihull Moors v Barrow match thread
He’s Brought innes on as a winger brought Jackson on as a 10. the last 20 minutes of that were horrendous. No movement on throw ins, players not being able to make simple passes on an absolute carpet of a pitch. Goalie can’t kick to save his life and the 2 centre halves are a pair of donkeys. No wonder rose and Whitfield have [SwearFilter] off, at least they’ve got some personal standards and don’t want nothing to do with that shiteJonty wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2026 9:51 pm Williams getting sent off didn’t help. I was optimistic at the start of the season. Murray saying all the positive things but it’s been a terrible start to the season. The football is poor and we don’t have anyone who can cleanly hit a ball on target. We had two shots second half fell to Reid and Oakley, both never forced a save, they’ve got to do better. That’s where we are. Cameron puts himself about but he’s not looking like he’s ever going to score. even from the corners we had, we didn’t win one header
I don’t know how long he gets

Hornby in his time as Chairman has appointed one manager that has been semi successful! that being Wild. Surely theres no belief that sacking Murray would mean he gets any further recruitment right.
Personally we have to stick with Murray but it needs to improve massively starting Saturday.
Long term I really fear for us as a club without another investor to drive us forward.

Even my tolerance for shite has been exceeded.
Forget managers. The board need to ship out. Killed the club by a thousand cuts.

More like since Wild left.
Re: Solihull Moors v Barrow match thread
Absolutely. There were question marks for me over Murray as he’s never really managed at this level his success was at north and south level. Fylde sacked him after a couple of months and quoted the standard took them by surprise. I just don’t think Murray has what it takes at this level. His signings also raised some eyebrows as very few were national league proven players, infact a few were relegated from the division below and released!blue nige wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2026 10:25 pmI wonder who from the board is ok ing these signings? How on earth do we expect playoffs when some of these players just aren't good enough !
Does anyone hand on heart think this team is getting any better no decent central defender, left back no quality midfielder just bad wingers it's a joke!
Walker is an awful player and we’ve let Whitfield go to persist with him? Kalambayi is a trier and fair play for fronting up, but he was realeased by relegated Dagenham last season and is dreadful on the ball, and Digie is even worse! Latty Fairweather is never a footballer but gets the nod over what was supposed to be our number 1 left back in Amos. The only bright sparks are Marriott and ward who were poor tonight and are being dragged down the dross around them.
This is Murray’s team and men, his style and way. He questioned leadership but I question any ability to pass over 10 yards, control a ball. There’s a big gulf between National north and national league and neither Murray or most of his men are anywhere near good enough so far. You can’t hurry a Murray maybe Hornby will after that I’d not be shocked….

Your first paragraph says it all chris unfortunately, we don't seem to have any criteria for picking Managers!barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2026 12:01 am Hornby in his time as Chairman has appointed one manager that has been semi successful! that being Wild. We need someone on the board to focus on the footballing side, Paul Hornby his strength is financial, if we don't address this we'll continue to get it wrong and nothing will get any better!
As for Murray he's tactically clueless when down to 10 men should have gone 3 5 1 but instead carried on regardless, lane needs Cameron with him ,Williams has lost a yard in pace and is struggling, it's a mess but I don't think Murray will change he's too arrogant and bombastic!
Re: Solihull Moors v Barrow match thread
The Kiddy fans warned us...was it 80 something players he used last season?
As for tactics its pure guesswork but the sun shines even on a dogs ar$e once in a while.
Absolute fraud.

Absolutely spot on this; people are asking for Murray to be sacked already but then what faith would you have in a replacement? We have to get a result Saturday I do agree but we’ve let him sign all these players, what would a new gaffer do with them?barrowfan_chris wrote: ↑Wed Sep 16, 2026 12:01 am Hornby in his time as Chairman has appointed one manager that has been semi successful! that being Wild. The biggest problem imho is that once again we haven’t actually recruited players for the formation we want to play; if the idea was always to play 3 centre backs we should have gone out and made 3 decent centre backs the starting point for our recruitment, any kind of success is built on a decent defence. At the moment surely we just have to go to a flat back 4 and hope PK and Digie can build a partnership, and Amos and Oakley will be more confident back in their natural positions?
The point Chris makes on investment is crucial as well, we surely need some help there, whether the board are looking after Shearer stepped back I wouldn’t know but you would hope so.
End of the day what have we really got to show for our time in the EFL? Roof on the HS End (great) and some canvas stands that give away fans easy likes on social media
