We all just need to keep our heads here. I agree last night was dreadful and our recruitment has brought in a lot of the players having no experience at this level but this constant calling for the Manager to lose his job needs to stop. If it was that simple why did the regular changing of Manager last season not have some effect?
Murray needs to be given more time to get this sorted, at least for the time being.

The calls for at least one of those managers to be brought in (Dino Maamria - played six, won one and not in a managerial role immediately before or since) are baffling to me. And why anyone thinks we're an attractive proposition to a proven manager after the merry go round early in the year I don't understand.

It just feels were in a decline poor recruitment again lack of structure at the club and a lack of what direction were heading in i think the board needs new faces with different ideas of taking the club forward really just hope there someone wanting to invest with deep pockets who is our scout recruitment person now as we all blamed the last fella didnt we so who is the new person doing the recruitment and making these signings of bums as it seems we have signed aload of duds who dont cut it again

I really like the new aggressive style of the new manager
My only reservation is that the players understand the limits you can go in being aggressive but not stepping over the line and seeing red.
I'm sure this season will be just like previous seasons with referees clamping down on physical contact and over aggression at least for the 1st month or so.
If the managers message is stop them at all cost and placing responsibility on a each player in a 1 to 1 situation then I fear we may rack up a high proportion of yellow and red cards.
Let's hope they've practiced playing with 10 men !
As opposing teams get to know our style I'm sure they'll be buying fouls on the back of our reputation.

They are the ones that have squandered the best chance in my lifetime of progressing the club and being an established league team.

I’ve supported the club for nigh on 50 years and during that time it’s always been one crisis to another with a handfull of highlights in between

Cutting the rope and starting afresh doesn’t seem such a mad idea anymore.

Totally agree here.. we all want the same thing and that's a winning team. It's been a poor start but waving the white flag now would be a disaster full stop

It’s one thing being hasty and another flogging a dead horse and doing the same thing looking for a different outcome…
I thought we waited too long to get rid of Andy Whing last year he should’ve gone around this time when Rob Kelly was brought in.

I was all for giving Murray time and patience but I’m worried after the first 8 matches that he’s taking us backwards and I honestly can’t see where the light is. His signings bar two or three have been poor. He’s alienated and got rid of senior and respected pros. He’s called out last seasons players yet they’ve nearly all gone and those left are his choice, and yet we serve up arguably our worst performance in some time at Solihull. His tactics, shape and personnel keep changing. It’s not clear really what we’re trying to do and if players aren’t following his instructions as he says then that’s even more worrying at this stage.

No doubt the effort him and the players are putting in. I just think he was a dubious appointment having no real credentials at this level, and that’s shown on his signings and our results and performances so far.

Wild created an identity of working hard, pressing and counter attacking with some decent football at times and we competed. Murray so far has created an identity of kicking and wrestling people. He’s said himself he’s not going to change as it’s got him success. Maybe at National north it did but he got sacked last time he managed at national league level.

The definition of the term "fool's paradise"? To look back at the highlights of the match at Holker Street on October 13th 1973 when 457 of us watched us lose 1-4 against Northwich Vics, and then watch last night's game where we lost so narrowly away from home, and subsequently compare the two and end up feeling wild grounds for optimism.

The game was played at Northwich not Holker Street after the league deemed our pitch not fit because of the Speedway, the first time Barrow have played a home game away from home.

Captain Mainwaring would no doubt say . . . "Ah . . . yes . . . I was wondering who would spot that one first . . . "

A M said of Harper at the Q & A there is a player of undoubted ability in there, we just needed to bring it out of him. We see fleeting glimpses now and then and then he’s struck down with the doldrums the same can be said of Jackson except we have seen him perform decently but his form fell off a cliff and is another lost soul struck by The doldrums it seems to be all consuming.
