We should have had Wild back in the summer if we were going to have Wild back
Still think people are overreacting to think we’ll go down again; once we start playing two strikers and get another decent centre back in we’ll be fine

Agree, re the centre back. We have to give Adam Murray more time to get things right as tough as it is right now. Panic is not an option.

I do back Murray and hope he gets it right (starting Saturday). There was that chaos where it felt like 3 games in a row we were clapping a new manager around Holker Street.

That said, I agree. At times on Tuesday with Adam it sounded like he was talking like he was seeing it through a lens of what he would do.

A relegation battle from what ive seen in the 8 games played this lot look worse than what we had bar a couple of them who is the recruitment person now who is the scouts were all these murrays choices of players if so were screwed fed up of the football at the moment something isnt right whats our identity what style of play do we want to be known for etc whats are role as a club going forward will we have our own training facilites one day as were nomads with no permanant base using other clubs facilites isnt good really we could do with our own to create more identity for the players giving a more pro feel will we have a youth set up will we look at a new stadium with the rugby like workington are doing as you cant keep patching it up forever we need a venue that can bring money in on non matchdays and for community use with modern facilites i wonder what the holker st stadium land is worth and craven park land as that combined with some grants could it not build a stadium similar to workington maybe 6k as the football or the rugby wont be pulling in anywhere near 5k/6k in near future unless a mega cup draw for either with football average at 2300 the rugby 2000 makes sence to me being a supporter of both the towns clubs

I think we will see the worst attendances in more than a decade, and I do realise that we would expect some drip because it's not EFL any more. Having said that, I reckon it will be 15-20% down on estimated if you count the people actually in the ground and not every single ST holder. Oh, and in a relegation fight from January onwards.

The new stadium thing has been done to death. To many are against it ( not me I might add) Hornby isn’t interested where I believe Steve Neale is more willing to explore the idea
Ironically should we fall further down the pyramid I suspect the chances of the two clubs sharing a stadium would become more of a possibility

So one man decides the fate of the club they should do a vote on who would consider stadium share with the rugby if it was feasable for all involved i dont think a council owned stadium is the way forward though as the clubs lose out on alot of income they would otherwise make owning the ground the land of both clubs should be worth a good few million each at a guess

The question of a shared stadium goes beyond the current board / owners at both clubs. It’s a far wider community question that should include a public forum and a reasoned for/against debate with all the pro’s and cons covered. The problem is kick starting that debate. I think it could be triggered by Barrow Rising as an opportunity to have a centre piece to regeneration and the wider socio-economic benefits it could generate.
This is the only way we are ever going to get an opportunity to elevate the clubs and needs a massive mindset change. Theres too many identifying reasons not to do it, We know there are many naysayers but I don’t see an alternative anywhere on horizon and it has to be looked at. Its too big an opportunity to pass by without a serious debate.
Judging by the pace of change for these things, it would probably be 5 years off. Where will we be then if we just carry on ignoring the cliff edge.

Yes i agree it should be for the public to have a say and we should be engaging with barrow rising and see if theres any money in regeneration to support a new stadium build to improve the towns sports facilites to a modern standard and if it can add any community benefits as wheres the future proofing of the club what are we goto do plaster the cracks forever with no plan and hope for the best we squandered our efl opportunitys and chance of more grants and exposure etc

You only have to look up the coast at what Workington Reds and Town have planned. I don't think there is one advocate for a shared stadium within the current Barrow AFC set up and without that its difficult to get any traction on it.

Tunnel vision then from the board they need to think outside the box really and think look we have 2 crumbling grounds both clubs pull in less than 2300 a game what we goto do keep spending on keeping the ground upto regulations over the years or think is there an opportunity with this funding for regeneration in the town its worth looking into maybe the club are and we dont know
