Seems a long time ago that Sutton game now! Let’s hope this can get us going and not be a false dawn like that game was.

That’s the way of the world! Lose and it sparks more debate, win and most people are happy and there’s nothing to disagree about.
One swallow doesn't make a summer still a lot of work to do and it wasn’t convincing at all before that especially first half but, that last half hour was probably the best football we’ve seen this season.

If we’d lost the mood would be very different.

Except for the midweek blip we’ve improved in various areas each game so I’m quietly confident we’re heading in the right direction, yes there will be more stumbles but overall I have high hopes.

Both teams struggled to make any sort of football happen in the first half with the exception of Aldershots two chances which were well handled by Winterbottom

Goals change games though and Harpers effort made sure of 3 points. Hopefully this is a starting block to put some results together

Murray mentioned the wind and that he is going to have to come up with a plan for it. Thats good to hear, how many managers and players have we seen make the same mistakes over and over. It was a factor at Eastbourne for him so let’s see.

That was a bit better of a performance and we deserved the win. it wasn't great though. I thought Amos, who I have criticised, had a much better game and Oakley, who I was surprised that others were criticising, had a better game.
If it is the first step of improvement, then I hope we look back on this week as the turning point. I wasn't sure it was coming.

Interesting to hear comments from Carlisle fans on Radio C, saying it is time to get rid of Elliott. Also interesting to hear James Phillips (I think) tearing a strip off a fan who had called in and who referred to some people as happy clappers.

Really happy for Adam Murray...he kicked every ball in that dug out gor 90 minutes then at the final whistle ran up the steps to the directors box and shook Hornby s hand.
Make no mistake he knows what it means for his Boss his players ,his club and the fans.
We are in good hands.

Very good win albeit early days against a team that hadn't lost away from home.

We managed the first half well against the wind and a very good Winterbottom save.

Second half we looked better and the substitutions really drove us forward.

Big rebuild job this has been and it will take time but you really can see the effort this team/squad are giving so we have to continue to stick with it.
