Re: Halifax Town v Barrow match thread
Absolutely brilliant! Felt like we were done for with not that long left but this team - unlike so many previous ones - just do not give up. Fantastic stuff from Big Innes - clearly a player who can really do a job for us, despite the drivel spouted by some about how we 'deserve' (whatever the hell that means) better. Murray seems very adept at making just the right tweaks to the team to suit the game they're facing. We really could do something here...

Don't where to start unravelling that game. Credit to each and every one of them. Big man doing what we want from a Centre Forward. Powerful winning header. Seb Thompson is superb. Outstanding player and Micky Lane worked his socks off.. They deserve all the plaudits for that win. We were poor first half, and I just couldn’t see where a goal was coming from but that Thompson strike set them on the back foot and we just went for it.

Fantastic last 30 minutes, shout out for Amos and Lane, both have been on the sidelines recently but haven't sulked or let their heads drop, Lane should start with wee Innes on Saturday.

Fair play to Murray; brave call to make a triple sub at half time even despite how poor we were first half
Re: Halifax Town v Barrow match thread
Tremendous, when we got the first back I knew we'd get something out of the game, and then to get the equaliser with still ten minutes to go, I had the confidence we'd go on to win! It has been a long time since I've had that level of belief in a Barrow side.
Popular side since '03.

I actually didn’t think we were that bad first half. I thought we were on top for the first twenty minutes, though we didn’t create many if any clear cut chances but the ball was barely in our half for the first quarter of an hour.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 10:21 pm Fair play to Murray; brave call to make a triple sub at half time even despite how poor we were first half
Halifax then got a foothold in the game and created the better chances of the half. But overall I thought that Halifax shaded rather than dominated the first half.

And another win away from home..
This time last season we were praying we wouldn't get battered or at very best a point..
Top three anyone?

Do you scour the match threads after the game looking to correct throw away comments. Go and enjoy the goals in the highlightsBingley Blue wrote: ↑Wed Oct 28, 2026 12:02 amOther than when he came very close to scoring with an overhead kick from a corner
