Re: Shared Stadium?
Never been a fan of a shared stadium. As a Hearts fan, it has been talked about in Edinburgh about sharing with Hibs. Both sets of fans voted on their respective forums to a resounding NO. It is easier to say no when your club has a large fan base and both clubs do have decent stadiums in Edinburgh.
The best way in my opinion, would be to let the fans vote, as without us there would be no high level football or rugby. Also the council would have to keep out of it. Obviously it could in the long run ,come down to finance but lets wait and see because it may not be a topic that both football and rugby owners are not interested in. Lets concentrate in supporting the football team and deal with ground sharing topic if it ever comes up.

Re: Shared Stadium?
pointless poll to be honest, neither club could afford it even if we wanted to
Re: Shared Stadium?
No, we have enough problems with the pitch in the winter never mind it being [SwearFilter] before we start in August due to the egg chasers using it.

I think there would have been other issues - other than football - on the minds of these fans with regard to sharing a stadium!Mike K 1874 wrote:Never been a fan of a shared stadium. As a Hearts fan, it has been talked about in Edinburgh about sharing with Hibs. Re: Shared Stadium?
Would need major investment from a 3rd party and cant see it happening plus Craven Park is going to be given a major refurb soon so bafc would have to go there so the answer is proberly no.

Re: Shared Stadium?
I wouldn't be against the idea, but only if the Council had nothing to do with it.
I don't think it'll happen though, as it seems both clubs are looking to redevelop their grounds over the next few years.

Des is a genuine guy and Barrow through and through having played and managed at football to a high standard locally. The Tomahawk Kid wrote:Why not - he's a local ladStu_Barrow_Afc wrote:Do we think our board could work alongside Des Johnston?![]()

I bet he would love to be associated with any plans to construct a shared stadium and would be a prime mover for it. That is if he isn't already involved in some scoping for such a project with AFC, you never know - he is a good communicator and I would be surprised if he hasn't been in touch with the AFC BoD about any such ideas at some time.
PS
Thanks for putting up the poll Shaolin Phunk.
