Came to us on loan around 2012 I think from Burnley. on loan. Lost his way in the game had numerous clubs until he settled at Doncaster. Under Grant McCann he improved considerably and has had a good career there.

Re: New signings
I hope our long-standing club ethos of ‘No Fancy Dans’ would remain the same as we continue to enjoy the mind-blowing euphoria of league football once more. I do however have grave reservations over whether Connor Mahoney can fully adhere to our traditional code having witnessed one or two instances of ‘flash’ play since his arrival at Holker St. We certainly don’t want another Ted Cribley situation on our (Cont.Pg 94)
We will follow the soccer, over land and sea...
Re: New signings
Steven fletcher 1 year contract. Heard it in the co op today
Re: New signings
To old and past it .Did alright when younger but not prolific now.
The way our budget is we need a young striker from maybe National League.
Andy Whing knows that league and the league below ,plus his experiences and knowledge will be recent.
I expect a younger striker to come in Whing mould him into a better player.

Re: New signings
Niall Canavan is at the Scunthorpe v Chester NLN play off final today. He did a ht interview on BBC radio Hull (he's an ex Scunthorpe United player.) - I wonder if he's also looking at a couple of the players that have been mentioned on this thread?

Re: New signings
No he will probably have having a few beers before the game with mates and gone to enjoy the game. It’s not in his remit to look at players we employ other folk to do that. Having watched it myself the standard is woeful even the co commentator just said that to say the game has been scrappy is a massive understatement
Re: New signings
Don't forget we have a connection with Lee Turnbull who was once our Manager and Scot Maxfield who is the Trust CEO at Scunthorpe.
