We need some good recruitment. As well as we did this season I can see us being one of the favourites to get relegated with the bookies again next season.
Obviously it depends on who we do bring in. We’ll have Wrexham and possibly Notts County to contend with. Difficult opponents coming down.
I wouldn’t take it for granted we’ll finish in the top half again.
I hope PW gets it right.

Default to doom and gloom why should we be favourites for relegation again based on what? Based on the fact its barrow and there Is bound to be disaster around the corner.

There is no reason why we can't push on next season,

The season isn't over and the doom and gloom merchants are at it already!
Just wish that I hadn't bought a season ticket last week.
Look on the bright side, I could go out and "top myself" wonder if the mrs could get a refund on my ST

Yes us and Stevenage were dead and buried at the start of the season  Why do some on here always go on about bookies - have they a betting issue?

Just hope we can move forward next season but the first aim, as always, is to get to 45 to 50 points asap then take it from there.

Bit of an over reaction. I want Barrow to win every game they play but I’m being realistic.
Pete Wild has worked wonders this season but to improve on a 9th place finish next season will be tough.
As for the betting, I don’t set the odds but we won’t be anywhere near one of the favourites to go up. They’ll likely be 4 or 5 teams less fancied then us if that. We’ll see. PW seems to like it that way. I hope we can do a Stevenage.

Alright mate, listen up, I'm gonna give you the lowdown on why keeping the bulk of your successful footie squad and making some smart additions while giving the deadwood the boot is the way to go.

First off, when you've got a squad that's been playing together for a while, they've built up a good understanding of each other's strengths and weaknesses. They know how to play as a team, and that's worth its weight in gold. It's like a bunch of geezers who've been down the pub together every week for years - they know each other inside out, and that's what makes for a solid team.

But you don't wanna rest on your laurels, right? You gotta keep evolving. That's where the smart additions come in. You wanna bring in some fresh blood who can bring new ideas and energy to the mix. But you gotta be careful not to upset the apple cart. You don't wanna bring in anyone who's gonna disrupt the team spirit or upset the balance. You gotta find the right fit.

And then there's the deadwood. You know the ones - the players who are just taking up space and not contributing much. They might've been alright once, but they're not cutting it anymore. You gotta give them the elbow and bring in some hungry new players who are gonna fight for their place in the team.

So there you have it, mate. Keep the gooduns, add some new talent, and give the deadwood the chop. It's the recipe for success, and I should know - I've seen it happen more times than I've had hot dinners.

Kicking on next season would be superb, but I wouldn't lose sleep whatsoever if we finished in that 9-13th area. It's all about being realistic about where we are as a club.

The retained and released list will be out on Tuesday and offers have been made to some players Wild would like to keep with deadlines attached to those offers. Pete Wilds interview with Radio Cumbria in the link below.

Jesus, as others have said, doom and gloom with one game left in a fantastically successful season. Get a [SwearFilter] grip, try and imagine another positive season as this one. Positive positivity.

Warren is like morphine. Useful in small doses but lethal in excess. But on balance I think PW will continue to see sufficient good in him to retain him for the rest of his contract.

We need to use him as a winger then!

More likely as a wing back when we go 3-5-2 or something like that

Sounds like a rerun of what was said about Rameo Hutton before he left.
He has been an ever present and playing really well for Swindon this year.
Don't forget Warren is a young player still learning, who has moved up a league.
He has had good performances this season as well as the not so good ones.

I agree very similar to Romeo and Warren is ok going forward but I would play my granny in defence ahead of him
