Agree with much of that, Jonty.

Evatt, however, used that style of play at Barrow that the new Head Coach advocates without 'the best' and made it work with his structure, coaching and clear player expectations.

Good interview, too. Young Ethan is increasingly confident and developing well.

Sorry for being overly cautious. The Dunn post match interviews still pop up every now and then. He’ll get full support from the Barrow faithful for sure.

Exactly, nowt we can do about it and just have to give him a chance and get behind him.
So what do people on here expect?

We went for a top manager (cooper) and that ended in tears !

David Dunn was unlucky with Covid etc / lack of training facilities etc. and who Rob Kelly said wasn`t given a fair chance !

Wild well we took a chance and at first it all went smoothly.

every manager is a gamble (ask Chelsea).

the negativity is sometimes over whelming on here .

NONE of us should pre judge until at least 6 months in only time will tell !

Nobody’s pre judging anything, just some initial views with some caution based upon the fact we’ve struggled for a manager to take us forward, then we got one, then we got rid of him. He will be backed and the bar is raised for the football club. Let’s hope he can take us one step further than Wild.

If he dons his Dad’s gloves from day one it will literally mean we are now In Safe Hands! Good luck Clem :scarf: :scarf:
Nothing to judge on yet as it’s a clean slate and only time will tell if Iain Wood has got the right man. But as with others, certainly Cautiously optimistic on the appointment.

Absolutely. Gills were a mess when he took over, majority of their supporters believed he would have done a job given time.
Spoke very well today outside of the interviews which will always be full if the right clichés.

Its what happens on the field that matters
Got to give him a chance as its a forum he falls into the Dunn category .

Evatt and Wild were both hungry for success as they had a point to prove .

Lets hope he achieves what he failed to at his last club.

I don't know whether Wood was involved in signing Garner, Proctor, Worrall and Telford but whoever was got plenty wrong!
Probably a little harsh on Telford, I just don’t think a Wild team was ever set up to get the best out of him, he looked pretty decent when PW gave him a run of games though.

The rest I can definitely agree with you on.

Telford is without doubt a quality footballer Wild never once played to his strengths. The way the new manager is talking Telford might like his style of play and hopefully we'll see the best version of Dom. Worrall been underwhelming but not dreadful, Garner clearly has talent however hasn't shown it enough. Proctor was awful.

Let's see how he gets on, eh? Nothing we can do apart from turn up on a Saturday and Tuesday, back the lads and hope for the best. Exactly the same as we did under Wild, who's departure is now water that has flowed well beyond the bridge.

Welcome to Barrow, Stephen.
