Managed to get a stream and watch secondhalf, was there really over 2000 in that ground? Looked about 800

2200 odd apparently, didn't look like it at all.

The main purpose of the design of that stand & the site in general is to generate vast amounts of income, for me it was too wide open at the sides and in worse weather I imagine fans would get soaked.

If only they had something like the Holker End so they'd be dry for many years to come.

Appreciate you are looking at it from a Lady's perspective.
Wow! I'd love to hear the explanation of that statement..

They did, the end opposite us had no roof

What a load of rubbish

When he was here we were unbeaten in all of our games apart from Dagenham

Paul Cox is a good Manager end of story, Casson better get it sorted and quick
Yes the Paul Cox leaving was a bad decision but I think he did not want to be associated with a poor team but also think Paul Casson undermined him to what extent we will never know and there are only so many times you will accept it unless you are yes man, quite few on here may get the job.
Paul Ogden spotted Bennett,Williams and Anderton all from he North West.
We have been unable to recruit similar players from our region or other near by regions.
Players have been assembled from all over the world if they are so good why come this far?
The expenses must be high ,the wages could be lower than last season.
We need a Manager like Cox with experience and we certainly need some midfield players.
Yussaf is a good player but not of the build of Bennet and gets crowded off the ball.
A good midfielder who could pass the ball to him is needed. You cannot expect him to have to keep being the ball down from a hoofed ball.
Moore does not look the answer but whoever gets the job will need some money.
It's looking like the Norman Bodell era.
Andrew Casson give us to Christmas
Andrew Casson there is no window to sign players.
At Christmas if things are still going down the pan will it be wait till January ?
In January will it be wait till May?
Action is neded
I know I will get stick it's his assets but our history
So the where would we be without Paul Casson well let's see where he takes us.
Watch the Granada Reports and BBC Look North, listen to the Radio Cumbria interviews when he took over his vision.
Are we a toy he is no longer interested in?

Jones looks like a decent player. I think Makoma will be decent, came in for a bit of unjust stick i thought.

Seven games in and the great crowd pleaser hoofball makes an unwelcome return – perhaps it is an omen that Edmo is to return? I was shocked at how the players resorted to such tactics and that any would-be first team coach would have it. Even more of a shock were the superb facilities at Fylde – they have got the wow factor all over the place; what a quality job that is.

I noticed on the match ticket the logo ‘fwp architecture’ who I presume built the complex. They certainly seem to be the ‘go to’ guys for stadiums; Barrow’s owners chose not go to them however which is unfortunate because they must still have the plans for Holker Street in their archives somewhere following our failed NHS link-up.

I was pleased to see our new floodlights up on Saturday but must admit they now seem a bit Steptoe and Son compared to anything at the futuristic Mill Farm.
We will follow the soccer, over land and sea...

Did you miss the bits where he kept Fylde in the game?

Was suprised at the rave reviews he got personally. The saves he made were very routine and stuff you'd expect any keeper to make, i can't remember him having to stretch more than a couple of inches to any shot. The Jordan White rebound was criminal finishing with so much of the goal to aim at, Yussuf really should have done better when through, rather than tamely hit it right at him again... Poor finishing rather than good goalkeeping IMO.

Very poor performance glad I did not have to pay to watch it. As I said to my wife "you think I enjoy myself going to Holker Street".
We do not bully teams as we did last season in fact it was the reverse for the first half last Saturday. Most of the time we seem almost relaxed with not much in the way of a pressing game.
I presume Paul Cox signed most of the players and at the moment several are found to be wanting. The other thing is perhaps the Hartlepool scenario was not quite what it seems.
Paul Casson has to now select a new manager to take us forward, this as ever is a very difficult thing to do. He chose Paul Cox and we have had a couple of good seasons and I think most people have enjoyed it, possibly not a former member of this forum and Pedro. We can only hope whoever comes in puts us back on track and proves to be as inspired a signing as Paul Cox was. As we know there are no guarantees, all clubs have struggled plenty of times in their history to pick the right man. Here's hoping.

Got to be honest, I thought that was a good set-up at Fylde & plenty we could learn from. The actual main stand wasn't the best though as it was (as Bolton blue suggests) made to look good and sell corporate places without much thought about the supporters underneath it, which can't give much cover to supporters....especially if the wind & rain come through at the angles it did last night. The away end was decent though and would give far more cover than the main stand in bad weather.

Lads seemed to like the bar under it though...plenty of atmosphere.

Game was ok first half with some decent passing football and two good chances for us. Adi seemed to pause when he had the one on one waiting for an offside flag (I think he even looked over) even so I thought he should've done much better with the chance he had.
Jordan White, don't know what went wrong there! I think Byron would've buried both them two chances in the same position.
I thought we should've had a pen through a handball, it was right in front of us and it looked nailed on. I think the ref was blind side but the liner should've seen it. I had a text off a lad watching it on tv and he said it was hand ball.

Game without doubt changed for the worse with the subbing of Mokomo, who did start a bit iffy but improved as the game went on and certainly put a shift in.

Really poor goal to give away though, started with a bizarre header off Moussa which then fell to their lad (who was outstanding I thought) and seemed to leave two defenders (couldn't see which) running the wrong way.

Another thing that was thrown up last night was the lack of threat from our corners, nearly always into the arms of their keeper or dumped in a totally safe place....compare them to Fyldes corners!

The support was brilliant throughout, really impressive.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
