You obviously haven't been supporting the club for very long then! ;)
About 20 years, since I first moved to Barrow, started off going to the odd game then over time got more into it, especially since the 2008 run to the play offs in the CN. I’m now 40, and also a Blackburn fan - where I was born and bred. Don’t start it’s better the plastic Manure or Dolepool armchair Sky Sports supporters lol
The [SwearFilter] taking wasn’t so bad in non league as most teams were tinpot anyway. It going to get much worse in the EFL and it’s going to cut!
I don't understand why you would even give a shit, love these big clubs crying

Just about credibility in the football world, at the moment we are a romantic story 48 years in the wilderness and we are seen as quaint little old Barrow, I truly hate that tag and can’t wait to shed it.
When people slag off Blackburn, usually Burnley & Wigan fans I don’t give a sh1t because because I have loads I can fire back at them, I do not have that luxury with Barrow. Still if we can give a few of them a bloody nose on the pitch then this may help somewhat.

We are little old Barrow though. It's been a lifetime since we were in the league. No shame in that IMO.

Possibly why we'll be a few fans second club. Plus we'll get a bit of air time on the EFL show on Quest, if we play anything like last season then we'll soon make plenty of friends

Not for me, I support both equally. Over the years I’ve drove thousands of miles from East Anglia to watch the bluebirds home and away, ( 650 mile round trip to Barrow) What’s a real shame is when native Barrovians say “I’m not watching Barrow they are shite” they then turn on Sky Sports and watch Utd, hopefully this bit of success can convince at least a few to get down to HS, and not just for the big games.

What we have to remember is that we have had next to no investment in the infrastructure over the last 48 years and we have been left behind whereas other clubs we parted ways with back then have been able to hang on in there throughout the 70’s 80’s and 90’s and have been able to modernise their grounds, or have new grounds, many in the last 10-15 years.

Our promotion is the platform for all this to come our way now, and a massive opportunity to get the club and stadium up to date, but it will take time and we simply have to deliver on the pitch and keep fans onside. If we are still on here talking Barrow and league football in 10 years time, then this is probably the timeframe it will take to catch up. It’s not a quick fix.
You also have to remember also that there is zero money in non league, many have gone “all in” trying and not succeeding to get out if it. Look at Wrexham, 10 years now and counting. NL is brutal. Our story from 1972, seeing off a liquidation and rising back to where we are more often than not on a shoestring and odd socks is quite simply amazing. Something to be immensely proud of. We will be amongst the smallest clubs in the league, but there is absolutely no reason why we cant grow from here and become an established, competitive and well run club.

Your absolutely right Jonty, while we have been away from League football teams have been privy to lots of grants that were not available to non league, I believe up to 75% of the cost is available now, so we are going to catch up slowly with the rest of the league teams with super stadiums next has to be the main stand and increase capacity to 2000. some say next season but whenever it is its the second thing to do after all the work that has been done so far, then maybe in the not to distant future a main stand on the popular side with facilities for cooking food on site and holding functions, then it will be goodby to the cross bar and onwards. :skill:

When’s the lid scheduled to go on, progress seems to have slowed a little. Frame was up this time last week was it not?
