Thought the areas were going to be labelled East & West Cumbria (administration wise). Believe it or not Barrow area would be regarded East Cumbria!!!!!

Which gets us back to the original point that Cumbria - East or West - is not a county. It is as you have said an administrative unit.

An administrative unit - exactly what counties (or shires that preceded them) always were.

'Cumbrian' Derby?
Somebody once called me a Cumbrian when working in London. I proudly informed him I was a Lancastrian. He asked: 'What's the difference?' I informed him that the postal code of my home address began with LA and that people in Lancashire don't talk funny.

This does my head in.

We’ve been in Cumbria for nearly 50 years. The LA postcode means nowt. Bootle has an LA post code and has never been in Lancashire.

The goons you saw giving grief to your lads weren’t actual Carlisle fans, they’re literally a bunch of chavvy kids who turn up to mouth off whenever there’s a decent away following. Our old firm (the BCF, which was more than capable of holding its own) seems to have disappeared and been replaced with these scroats, who tend to get their arses handed to them when things to occasionally go south.

Given the minuscule alllcation we’ll be receiving at Hilker Street, our following will consist purely of season ticket holders, so I cant see anything remotely ‘tasty’ developing. It’ll be as tame as Saturday was, unless some of your own decide to give it large to shorters, families, and old folk.

Our old firm TMF 'The Mindless Few' (80s Crew) would have proudly stood their ground against any mob.
As they did against Millwall, West Ham, Tottenham, Wolves and Bolton. And before anyone states that we never played those clubs in the 80s (Bolton 1990) you'd be correct. Meetings occured on route during away travels

Like the BCF, TMF also seem to have disappeared. Most will be in their 60s now. Although a few old Faces were seen at Carlisle.
