But as has already been said previously I think a lot of this is down to players having no confidence. Ok so going on a bad run doesn’t exactly breed confidence but they sure as hell aren’t getting any inspiration from DD. There is no fire in the belly and that MUST come from the manager. His lack of self belief has spilled on to the players and it shows. Nice guy - absolutely, good man manager and motivator - no way, and this is before you look at his tactics, team selections, substitutions etc.
It’s a tough and probably costly decision to make but a change is needed and quickly before it’s too late.

I understand peoples frustrations and concern but don't buy the act now or else it's too late. Only just passed the 1/3 mark of the season.

If we replace Dunn and we get to the 2/3 mark and are in the same position do we then replace manager again?

Think he needs more time.

Agree. Its been commented on before but once you allow the situation to reach a certain stage then the squad tend to acquire a collective attitude that gets reflected in behaviours at certain key points in games. There seem to be a number of patterns in our performances on the pitch ranging from an inability to take chances at key moments to defensive weaknesses occurring at damaging points in the game.

Some might call it confidence or belief or loss of focus. Whatever it is is rooted mainly between the ears of the players. If you dont have it in your armoury then it doesn't matter how technically proficient you are. You will never be fully in control of your team on the pitch and this leaves you in a very poor position to react to unforeseen challenges or adversity. You become very predictable because you remain one dimensional. We are becoming the epitome of a one-dimensional team. The narrowness of the defeats is not actually anything to celebrate. Its just part of a repeating pattern.

Surely if we are going to change the management, a new manager should have time with the squad before the January transfer window, then he can bring in his own players to keep us up.

So IF all club`s thought this way there would be no managers sacked at all,i`m sorry but this situation now is serious, we CANNOT afford as a club to go down , i don`t want to see someone lose their job but we can`t keep saying one more game, we`ll be alright when every one`s back etc ,
Yes it might go like you say but i personally would take that option than see the gap (point wise) widen, i`ve waited and witnessed a lot since i began supporting the club since 1966
but for us to go down in our first season back is just too big a thing to leave to chance !

Sadly not everyone is cut out for management, which is why appointing somebody with at least some mild success elsewhere is usually a good move.

There are plenty of experienced managers currently out of work with decent records, if it comes to it. Realistic options too, unlike Clough (as suggested over the summer) and Cowley (on the previous page).

Why is Cowley unrealistic? His managerial career. Concord Rangers, Braintree Town, Lincoln City then Huddersfield where he got the sack, so I would say league 2 and 1 is his level.

He'll be in the running for decent jobs in League One. He was recently linked with Sunderland for example.

Also many feel that his Huddersfield sacking was harsh as he kept them up after being in the bottom three when he was appointed.

If we can’t afford to sack Dunn we definitely can’t afford to hire Danny Cowley! (As much as I would love us to)

Well this is something that I just cannot agree with. This sort of carry on with the banners and flags etc should be kept in the ground.
I want to see the back of Dunn as much as you do but to traduce his name on the streets is not on-in my book anyway.
