If the person is from the Aldingham Nursing Home it could be that a relative or staff member has brought it in from an area in Barrow or Ulverston or wherever!

Using the toilet at the ground on Saturday I noticed that there are no hand washing facilities there. As the main advice seems to be to wash your hands I would hope that the owners make sure that there is some hand gel in them for Saturday's game!

It sounds like there is going to be a blanket ban on spectators at sporting events in the UK today after the COBRA meeting. My only question is how far down the football ladder this ban will pervade?, hopefully it stops at the football league and non league are still allowed to play with spectators, I doubt it though.

Our historic promotion is going to be unwatched and Rooney is going to lift the title to Adam on BBCRC who will scream himself hoarse to the crowds in the Bluebirds club

A few facts for some of the medical "experts"... Comparing this virus to flu is idiotic. The death rates from the most common strains of flu are between 1.25 and 2.5 of 1 percent. The death rates from this virus at the moment is 3 percent making it 15 times more likely to kill.

People suffering from this virus will need isolated high dependency care. The estimated best and worst case scenarios for the numbers needing such care is 10,000 to 300,000. Nationally there are approximately 4,500 ITU beds but with a 20% shortage of skilled ITU staff and it is these developing numbers that the government will be advised to act upon. The self isolation, crowd bans, or eventual lock down programmes, that are becoming increasingly likely, will all be to avoid the demand on high dependency care being needed all at once.

The estimated peak for this virus is mid to the end of April depending on the decisions made at this next COBRA meeting but the medical advice being urged to the government is that much stronger action is needed sooner.

My opinion is that, depending on the size of the cap on crowd gatherings the Wrexham game could be our last home game with a crowd for a while.

the most common strains of flu maybe - but every now and again their is a stronger strain with similar effects to this. like the 1918 "Spanish Flu" which led to 550,000 deaths in the US alone.
