Can see us getting the wrexham game in before football in the uk starts going behind close doors countrys have lowered maximum gatherings to 500 in france now , just seeing arsenals next game is postponed at least worse case we have 2 televised games trust this to happen this season!

If closed doors happen I wonder what will happen regarding season ticket holders and online ticket buyers who have prepaid for games?
If that money has to be repaid it could cost clubs thousands of pounds, probably money they don't have.
As a season ticket holder I would not want re-embursing but not everyone is in the same financial position as others.
I hope the above doesn't happen and it would be a disappointing end if we can't be there to celebrate what has been the most memorable and enjoyable of seasons whatever the outcome.

Wether we think it's an overreaction or not, it's clear now that it is likely that at best the season going forward will be disrupted, at worst even postponed or cancelled. If Serie A can be postponed, then the National League obviously can be.

We need a win and a bumper crowd in Saturday. Presumably if things do go to restricted attendance or closed doors we're in a relatively good position having had better-than-anticipated attendances so far this season, but a 3000+ would do us nicely given that at the start of the season we'd have been happy with 1500 in for some of these games. And if the league is postponed, we want to be as far ahead as possible at the moment of pause.

Another thought: even if the season gets played out, is it likely they'll then go ahead and organize further matches for the play-offs? Could be a top-two directly promoted scenario

Surely the only reason any games are being played behind closed doors is to keep the TV stations happy? What would be the point in just fulfilling fixtures at our level? Can see a suspension of the league for a month, and possibly a postponement of Euro 2020, which would free up Wembley for the play-offs to take place in the summer.

Can't we have a quarantine area in the ground? i.e. the Holker St terrace, where if you are feeling unwell you have to stand there for the whole game, it's so exposed that the virus will be swooshed out to the Walney channel with the wind.

Whatever happens for the rest of the season - whether the league gets cancelled etc somebody must replace Bury in the EL next season. I presume that will be the team that finishes at the top of the National League. If therefore the our league is cancelled early then we had better make sure we are top of this division at the time!

I made a Post on Feb. 25 that stated, due to Coronavirus 'football games might be cancelled'

I was ridiculed by some, 'will never happen', from one, 'give it a rest' from another, etc'.

One Member even requested the Moderator delete the thread.

Only 2-weeks later football games ARE now being cancelled, or might be played behind Closed Doors.

The experts say that we've seen nothing yet and much worse is to come. This virus is extremely serious and potentially deadly and many will be affected.

So I sincerely hope and trust there will no further derogatory or sceptical remarks from any forum members on the subject, because for one thing, aside from football, some people, especially the elderly WILL DIE.

They've even just cancelled the 'Coronavirus Conference, due to Coronavirus'.
