It surely has to be about.money .
Hopefully the board have learnt from being stung before.
Brown can leave and go to another club saying he pulled us out of the fire.
He may feel if he gets a longer contract he has seen himself through to retirement and the board would not play ball.

Onto our 7th manager since winning promotion to the EFL. Maybe some stability might be a good idea.

Stop panicking people ,yes Brown kept us up ,he changed to a back 4( this helped platt because he was struggling)how many of us had said we should do that !, got Connor brown at fullback again said on here ! Dropped Banks again everyone said that needed doing!
I'm sure the board wouldn't have done this lightly, they probably didn't like the way he was talking as though it was a done deal !
The irony is I was talking to P J Daly this morning and I likened Brown to a "used car salesman!" but what do I know !

Now the search starts again and these players get a clean slate when many of them are nowhere near good enough. We need better recruitment and the next manager needs to know that he needs to get it right, but how can he judge them when he hasn’t seen them.

At this point I see us as nailed on relegation candidates because we just can’t seem to get any stability / continuity.

Mark Hetherington is just like us ,he'll know some aren't good enough, they could also talk to Goody and Adam come on people CALM DOWN!

Mike Williamson of CN champions-elect Gateshead wold be a good shout and he could bring top scorer Cedwyn Scott with him. Carlisle had Scott on a short-term deal and let him go after giving him little game time . He has netted 25 goals his season.

Only one man for the job, John Goodwin with McDonald as his assistant, just build a team of locals, happy days all round.

Cheer up Jonty it’s always a tough gig being a Barrow supporter got to trust the BOD they’ll be as keen as us to make the best available appointment.

I wouldn't be surprised for a New manager announced over the next couple of days!

Well said Jonty, can see several players tonight being happy, we don`t want a manager who wants to train all week, I want 2 days off and I will be back earning easy money again next season, agree too many not good enough.

Agreed. He was also always pushing himself forward in all his interviews with the media whilst the club was saying nothing at the time, until Adam's recent interview with PH. I think he and his agent will have been pushing for a large budget and three year contracts for him and McDonald.

Yes, the games he won saved us from relegation but his overall win-rate was around 20%. He'd also been out of work for around 6 months, which in itself says a lot. I think this is a good move by the board and just hope their next one of appointing a replacement is also a good one.

For me I would like to see an ambitious young manager from the National League looking to advance his career, not someone in his sixties looking to add to his millionaire status.

How did they? We would have survived with 1 point from the games he took charge. We were on 37 points when he came in and Oldham finished the season on 38. With one draw we would have survived so no credit can go his way at all.

Be very careful what you wish for ,because this is either a stupid mistake not to appoint Brown or they have someone they deem better in mind me for one thinks we better sort this mess out quickly before we become a laughing stock we need stability a clear out and a decent 22/23 season i hope things dont go tits up from here jeez its like watching Dallas with all these twists and turns and scandals please somebody sort this debacle out
