A replacement or an upgrade? Baring in mind Banks was only on the bench you’d be looking for someone to start alongside Rooney and Gotts if they are “replacing” (I.e getting the same money) as Banks, not just a sub

I don't understand why. That's 2 contracts cancelled now. Could have made some money from Banks, especially if hes already in talks with another club. Seems like you can take barrow out of non-league but you cant take non-league out of barrow

it's 3 - Jamie Devitt, Zanzala and Banks - smart moves on the 1st 2 and Banks whilst a good player wasn't a high energy player and that's the type we'll need under Wild;- so it was a good move for both the club and Banks

4 - Josh Gordon to be shipped out in the very near future.

Shame as we have lost a player who can impact a game and there’s not many especially at our level who can do what he could. Good luck for your future the Barrow artist formally known as Banksy
I also have concerns like SB that this sets a precedent and impacts upon us further down the line

On reflection I guess it’s all about sustainability and stability, those being the things the BoD crave for the club. It still feels like we should have a revolving door fitted at HS for players, managers and other club staff.

Ollie’s departure for whatever reasons and the events leading to it should not happen in a settled stable club environment. It’s also not a great selling point for a club who finds it challenging to recruit anyway.

PW seems to go about his business with a minimum of fuss. Hopefully this is a sign of more settled times ahead.

Yep, it will take a few windows and a couple seasons for Wild to build the side he wants. I think we have done good early business with the players brought in and clean cuts for Zanzala and Banks has helped. He is targeting players who see Barrow as a good opportunity for them whilst also bringing in experience to balance things. We also have some very good players already at the club and feeling quite optimistic that with Wild we can finally start seeing progress on the pitch.

I believe Banks signed his new contract and later had his head turned thought the grass was going to be greener elsewhere so we got rid

To be brutally honest though, he was having a negative impact for us towards the end of the season, mistakes costing us goals. Yes, a good player but for me his performances towards the end of the season dictate that we look for more consistent alternatives. Wish him well.
