A proven goal scorer? Certainly not whilst he's being playing for us. That's why PW has been putting him on the bench and giving him a run out with the fringe team players in the Lancs Cup. It wouldn't surprise you if Championship clubs came sniffing after him? Really? You must be easily pleased. Scoring a hat trick against poor opposition in one 'mickey mouse' cup tie would not entice any Championship clubs, I can assure you.

I thought those three goals in the Lancs cup would have boosted his confidence but his performance against Sutton was, again, poor. He doesn't seem to be the player he was, unfortunately. Whether it's because he doesn't fit into PW's style of play is open for debate.

It's such a shame that we don't have a prolific goal scorer. If we did I'm sure promotion would be a certainty rather than a possibility. However, it's nice to see Ben Whitfield and our Captain continuing to show our strikers how to hit the back of the net!
