Mike I was at the ground last year when the stewards were removing the boards on the Friday night before the Ulverston Carnival as they said they camp out the night before the event.

The two young people manning the beer area were run off their feet and with cans at £1 a piece is it any wonder. I bagged the empties up and removed them as there was no room for them to move around and with long queues they didn't have time to do it themselves and as a Health and Safety officer I am sure you will understand why I did this. Bottles and cans lying around their feet was an accident waiting to happen.

the stewards are only their for match day duties. we have in the past carried out many jobs around the ground such as the painting when all those fans who moaned about not being asked to help out decided they didn't really want to help in any way they just wanted to moan.
Moan, moan and more moaning.

Any need to keep having a dig at Pete?

The less said about the stewarding at games the better an absolute shambles sometimes, most haven't got a brain cell between them.
nice to see you backing peter, but he knows full well the reasons.
once again if you want to speak to me at any time regarding the stewards please feel free to do so. as for the lack of brain cells, we may not be as obviously well educated as your good self, so come along and show us how you think we should work. the education from you will be very much appreciated.
this will obviously not happen but the offer is there for you.

I was asked to arrange some volunteers some time ago, and over the last 4 weeks have tried my hardest to try and drum up support. Unfortunately, through no fault of my own I was unable to do so. I can't force people to do anything. I can ask nicely, i can offer small incentives, but you can't force people. Its july, people are away/busy etc.

On Saturday and Sunday, as I've explained, i was unable to go to the ground to assist as i was in a lot of pain due to a trapped nerve in my back, which meant i'd have been as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Its not often i let people down, and if i do their are very good reasons for it. This was one such occasion, which I've already apologised for. I don't think a public forum is the right place for this exchange, so these will be my last words on the matter.

Ooops they must have been moonlighting then because they distinctly told me that when the boards were being removed. Or they were imposters. Told me they were getting paid £25 too. Whether they were stewards that have since left I don't know.

.

Perhaps Chris and Mike could have a dance off, loser (or winner) has to apply lube on Pete G's aching back :D I think Mike would carry it in the Salsa, but Chris' American Smooth is a sight to behold.

Has Wayne Curtis signed yet?

He should turn up for a trial and carry out community work, and some plastering, and help put the dance boards away.

Damage looks like it was done before hand!

First games in 2 weeks isnt it?

Do we not have the same groundsman as Fleetwood?
