How do things improve if the person in the most important role at the club can’t voice his concerns around our shortfalls which are aplenty? We never ever ever learn and still haven’t employed anyone with a bit of football experience in the back office roles to push us on.

Good managers get on with it, manage, coach the players they have.They turn a negative into a positive and use it to motivate, galvanise the squad.possibly at FGR, everything was on a plate for him, having a wealthy chairman in place.

Managers like to play the blame game when results arent going their way.

Interesting in the interview with radio Cumbria he says about the keep cant keep replacing the manager.. I wonder if he is feeling under any kind of pressure.

I think MC did galvanise and motivate the players early in the season when he had so many problems. He frequently praised the spirit of the players. He can say what he likes as far as I am concerned. Evatt often used to mention things the club needed to improve. IMO, it's good to have a manger that can see where improvements are needed and, working with the Board, I believe he can help us develop to become worthy of EFL status both on and off the pitch.

I know this is off topic but isn't the question why is he still going on about it ( infrastructure) if he's wrong then someone on the board should tell him to reign it in a bit

He aimed similar things at FGR board about infrastructure in his first interview as Barrow boss, maybe he wants premier league facilities.

All this can we get them to come to Barrow is just another excuse.. we dont train in Barrow and it seems the club really looks after the players.

If you are referring to his most recent interview, he said that he had identified targets but the question was still whether they would be willing to sign for us. A common sense statement about the realities of life, like when I was a youngster: I knew who I fancied, but did they fancy me?

I took it to cover the whole range of factors that affect a signing : money, competition from other clubs, family considerations, distance to training, etc, etc, etc.

Has anyone been watching the Buxton v Morecambe match.Buxton have a striker called Diego de Girolamo who looks quite impressive and very nearly scored for Buxton in the opening minutes of the game.He took his shot on instinct without hesitation and could be the sort of player Barrow could need. Has anyone got any thoughts on him?
