There is/was food available in the ground where I was able to get a reasonable pie. The issue here was getting food in the Fanzone where you can get a pint to go with it.

Went here for the first time in ages last week and the fish was the best we have tasted in a long time. Good portion of chips too. Highly recommended.

Hits the nail on the head, sure people can get let down at the last minute. It happens too often at Barrow, don't they want people to spend money.

The "Inside Barrow" videos are brilliantly done and the Orient one was one of the best, although it probably helps it was a game I attended. It also confirmed my suspicions there was a Kilmarnock Orient flag in the away end, yuck!

That might be a fair thing to say if it were a one off, but nothing works properly ever. Be it catering, ticket scanners, card machines, club shop, televisions, ticket website, delivery of items, answering emails etc etc. The list goes on, so I think it probably is a good time to be criticising the club to be honest.

Yeah...I was looking forward to a burger in the fanzone I must admit....on a side note ...the food at Harrogate was fantastic and really well organised.

Why is it strange?

Your post mentions setting off just after breakfast. Anybody setting off from anywhere in the NW could set off at lunch time and still arrive in time for the game. Exeter is in Devon. Anyone attending from Exeter (Exeter City are in the same league as us) would have to set off just after breakfast.

The Club still has a number of vacancies for matchday staff to work across our bars inside the ground and in our corporate hospitality areas.

Main duties for successful candidates will be serving drinks to supporters, whilst maintaining a professional approach to customer service, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.

All those who apply must be aged over 18 and be confident handling payments, whilst previous bar and till experience is desirable but not essential.

I'd genuinely be interested to know what the ceo does, maybe a day in the life piece for the next update ?

There's a lot of simple day to day things that are frankly a bit of shambles, have been for a while, put one fire out and there's another burning away from the training ground to in and out souced catering, operationally we're a basketcase. When your heavy financial backing comes from afar and the rest a consortium of busy business men you really do need some one to sort these things out for you, at the minute we seem to continually trip ourselves up and don't ever seem to learn a single lesson in the process.

Agreed. Harrogate was not a great day out ! However like us they are in new territory and Rome wasn’t built in a day. It would perhaps be a good idea if when problems occur, the club acknowledged the fact and set out steps taken to resolve. Problems will always arise. How the club deal with them and explain steps taken would I think be most appreciated.

Perhaps at the next public trust meeting next month our board rep can give us an update on these problems or the ceo/new catering boss be invited to the meeting to explain situation.Don’t have to stay but provide info re the afore mentioned problems.
