Harassment.

Sadly my first game at Holker Street for over 2 years (I'm a Nurse who works nights so missed Tuesday) was ruined after receiving unjust harassment by a number of stewards and Trevor Jones as the second half began. Upon my return to the ground from the crossbar I was stopped by 4 stewards and Trevor Jones who insisted I had some sort of illegal device on me. One tried to grab me until I explained he had no right and Trevor dragged him away. When I said prove I have something, whilst turning my pockets inside out, they shut the door instead and said I wasn't allowed back in. I entered the crossbar again to find my friends who were walking down the stairs and walked towards the ground entrance once more insisting they search me, they let my friends in but locked the door on me. Following this i decided to just walk round to the Pop side and got in with my ticket. Upon arrive into the stand to be with my friends, I was then approached mob handed by a number of stewards and Trevor Jones who tried to man handle me and push through many others, including one fan holding a small child. This created an unneeded scene. I personally offered them to search me on the terrace in front of everyone and even call the police if needed, once again they declined and insisted I leave the ground. Many members of the crowd around me and myself asked the reason why, this is still unknown as the stewards themselves didn't seem to even have an answer. Following my refusal to leave, they disappeared from the scene.

Not only has this blighted the experience for myself, but also 4 friends who don't follow Barrow who I 'dragged' along to watch Barrow in the hope of converting them and were having a good time until this incident.
It is sad that I have had to write this but I really am disappointed with today, a day where we have won in a season that should be ours.
If anyone can point me in the direction of someone at the club who I can message and make an official complaint with I would be very grateful, thanks.

What an absolute disgrace. The incompetence and lack of judgement shown by the Stewards MUST be examined. If Trevor Jones is found guilty he should be banned from the ground forever. Regards any Stewards being found the same they should be relieved of their duties and banned as well. This matter I believe should be reported directly to the Police for investigation

I witnessed this incident in full and would back up the opening post. Its very worrying that the stewards and possibly Police think they can wade in and demand to search someone, and try to remove them from the ground with seemingly no evidence whatsoever of any wrongdoing. Bang out of order, I only hope that this was an isolated incident and that particular section of the crowd don't now become a target due to the stewards not getting their own way (i.e. the search and removal of the individual concerned). What was equally worrying was the stewards complete ignorance of their surroundings, they didn't even seem to be aware that a small child was sat inches away from them on the barrier.

Words need to be had, I've no doubt the stewards and in particular the self named head of safety will try and bull shit their way out of it though

After standing in the way of these idiots trying to force out the fans, which by the way involved them manhandling several fans, I went to talk to them and heard 3 different stories.

1) this person was drinking a can outside the ground and shouldn't be allowed in.
2) The police have told us to remove him.
3) He refused to be searched so has to leave.

Without any proof, tact or conversational skills the stewards are storming around trying to remove fans without a solid story to back up what they are trying to do. Serious words need to be had, it made a scene out of something which should have been sorted at half time (maybe using those radios would have stopped this person getting back in if the reason for denying entry was genuine) not in a family packed crowd mid way through the second half.
I do think that when someone offers to be searched and is proven to have nothing the stewards should have the sense to allow entry into the ground and not back scenes like this.
