Very sad. Just been listening to an interesting interview on Radio C, with Andy Wood and Mark Boyd's opinions. Worth a listen - Iplayer post match, starts about 25 minutes in.

It's clear that certain players need to take a lot of the blame for not showing the passion and commitment needed. I think Edmo has faults and made mistakes, but has been massively let down by some.

Let down by players yes, but they are his players that he chose.
Sad to see him gone but inevitable. I Stood behind dugout yesterday and he knew his days at barrow were over.

Cox then,

Agree, good luck and thank's for all those good times Edmo, but sadly the Edmolution just didn't evolve enough!
Time to look forward though onward and upward, but it's not going to be easy! :scarf: :scarf:

It was for the best. Glad it didnt end up as ridiculous as the Bayliss or Turnbull sagas. Cox is a strange one though...my recollection of his Mansfield sides were very well orgased but still direct. He'll do a good job for us though I'd imagine but don't expect it to be pretty.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

I remember Mansfield being a pacy side and also quite unpleasant - a lot of players that would niggle and foul, dive and 'play' the ref.

I'm glad it's finally done but I'm not glad it HAD to be done. Hopefully the next guy has a better eye for a player and knows how to motivate.
