GOOD NEWS YOU CAN BUILD ON

Post by barrowaberdeen » Wed Nov 08, 2017 6:31 pm

As you know the club gave out at least 120 free tickets to kids at the event last Friday. Great idea :D

I had a wee think, as often parents/carers who want to take them can't because of money, other siblings etc....so the Bluebirds Trust (WITH YOUR HELP) offered tickets round Barrow schools (adult, youth or child tickets to back this up), especially encouraging the targeted schools, so parents and teachers would take groups of kids. Take up has been really good, especially since it was only Monday I sent the e-mail round. I would estimate 80 odd adults and children from that, many related to the schools who had been there so will be going with the kids from Friday.

Given they had to make the effort to apply to get them, I am quite confident between 100 and 150 will be added on to the gate by this joint effort.

Let's add a few servicemen, ex servicemen and cadets who can collect free tickets from the ticket office at the club if if they have the right ID or in the case of cadets wear the uniform.Say 30

Add one Grant Holt hopefully.

I know... preaching to the converted, but maybe between us all we could raise another few from here by dragging mates and family along...or better still, all those mates we have who used to come but have dropped off over the last 5 years or so...The club have done well here, so why don't you give it a go?

Between me pestering and the “feel good” factor doing the rounds at the moment, I think I’ve persuaded a couple of extras to attend on Saturday.
As we always say, if everyone did the same, how much of a boost to the gate and players would that be?
Macc will probably bring a few but wouldn’t it be great to see it pushing 2k on Saturday.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
