Current favourite at 2/1 on Sky Bet. I don't think he would leave though, especially to a club that are seemingly on their way down to League Two. Albeit a league above, at least, they're a side in decline and it would be a real risk for him. Especially since he has a young squad currently here, which is primed ready for him to improve.

However, it shows what a fantastic job he has done so far. I'm sure Ian will love being linked with these vacancies, as it shows that his work isn't being ignored and suggests he has a bright future ahead.

Keeping hold of him in the next few years will be a great piece of business and is essential, for me.

Would be typical of this lot to try and pinch another of our succesful managers. Don't know what contract he is on but new owners need to get him tied down. Training base being on 'Dales doorstep probably a factor in this speculation.

IE needs to remain at the club. I firmly believed we would go down this year, to be mid-table with the budget he has had speaks for itself.

Couldn’t blame him if he does go really - whatever his vision is for barrow yes we all would like but is it really going to happen - a chance for him to manage at a higher level and he wouldn’t turn it down

I think IE or I at least hope that even he would agree that a step up is too soon for him being the professional kinda bloke he is? Could be wrong but genuinely hoping he had no immediate desire to kick on just yet.
