In all honesty, these 2 positions should be more contactable/ transparent on here. I’m not one to be critical of individuals involved at the club but we certainly don’t here enough from these 2 guys. Maybe we could have a section where questions could be asked to both , it would hopefully put an end to people’s concerns and niggles going forward.

I'm sorry but neither are accountable to a forum where people have anonymity and can say whatever they want without repercussions.

There are formal routes to contact both. Via the club or the SLO inbox.

There are also methods to contact the Trust if people so wish. Something that we welcome people to do and provide answers to the best of our ability.

On an unofficial fans forum? Wonder how many football league clubs CEO regularly responds to posts on unofficial fans forums?

There is channels open to contact the SLO (social media and email) if you so wish

The point being, if questions could be asked, and answers were quickly given, it would then stop the usual suspects, from constantly banging on about the same things. And if these people are easily contactable, then why aren’t YOU, asking your questions to them, getting the answers,and bringing them back to this forum. How many times have you e mailed the CEO or SLO with your concerns then??

I am sometimes reminded on this forum of a classic media training question:

One of the most famous insulting questions is the wife beating one.
When did you stop beating your wife?
Most people have a "rule" that they don't answer questions like this.
This is a good rule.
Because if you were to answer the question, you would ACCEPT the idea hidden inside.
But when the person asks this kind of question, they aren't looking for an answer.
They are looking to catch you off guard.

I am not suggesting people are trying to catch our CEO or SLO off guard, simply that, sometimes, being asked to answer a question leads to more problems. Similarly, the 'fans should be kept informed' syndrome, can also create more problems. We can't expect the club to give day to day bulletins about all admin/personnel/football matters. If they issue a statement, it seems important so people will speculate about what's behind it, whereas if they don't issue a statement they must be hiding something.

I think the correct line of communication must be through the SLO. However, I can see that, in some circumstances, this could put the SLO in a tricky situation if the subject is a delicate one.

If you want to contact these people,there are channels open to do that privately as has already been explained.I,m sure if there are any developments about to take place the club will make an announcement.
People should thank the board fir the massive strides this club has made in the last 3 years.Cast your mind back to how the ground used to look like in the not so distant past and how it looks now.
We now have a manager who wants to do the best for our team and a board who are fully committed to supporting him,so let,s all get back to supporting the club instead of complaining at every twist and turn.

The fact that he was on co commentary with me on Saturday and was stood talking with the supporters that travelled to Southport prior to coming on air - staying on air throughout the half time break due to my studio technical difficulties meaning I couldn’t hand back to the studio or hand around to our local cricket action shows he isn’t exactly hiding
Spoke quite well about what his role entails and how he is more than happy for supporters to get in touch with him via the appropriate channels

People need to remember the SLO role is a voluntary one - Chris doesn’t get paid for being the clubs SLO

I listened to Chris on Saturday and he came across and explained his role very well.
I just hope him bd the CEO have made up following the CEO throwing him under a bus following the cashless debacle.

Voluntary, now that’s interesting Adam, and changes my opinion of what Chris should be doing. I listened Saturday and thought he filled in well at half time, explaining his role and his vision of the roll moving forward.
