Disappointed as probably won’t be able to get there for a one o’clock start as refereeing in the Barrow and district junior football league in the morning but would have had time to get there for a three o’clock kick off,so not Barrows fault but no thought to the many people that are involved in barrow junior football

That’s pretty poor really, the police knew about this fixture in July and they’ve let everyone make plans that now have to be changed.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

That's just rubbish, probably rules out most kids and parents that were going to jump in the car and drive up there after morning games in the local junior leagues, I certainly was.

Can’t see why not as it’s not 3pm.

Strange. It can’t be due to a fear of disorder, they’ve played Leeds and Millwall at 3pm over the years etc.

Maybe they can’t afford to stick the lights on?

Its a shocking decision that makes no sense whatsoever. Somebody sitting at a desk in Carelton Hall Cumbria Police Headquarters probably thought it was a good idea. Barrow Police football officer Rickie Wallbank knew nothing about it until one hour before the announcement according to a tweet from him that he has since deleted. Thanks to Cumbria Police they have now created problems and issues that were not there with a 3:00PM ko.

TBH, they won’t care one bit.

As I said earlier, this fixture has been there since July, it’s not just sneaked up on them. A lot of rearranging for lots of people now.

Absolutely abysmal planning.

I know it’s not ideal but if there genuinely was loads wanting to go could the league not suspend fixtures for one Saturday and play them later in the season?

It’s plain stupid that they’ve done it this late, should have been sorted shortly after the fixtures were released

It's the international break weekend so would be on ifollow irrespective of the kick off time.
