Barrow AFC v Colchester Utd

Post by Middleton Nick » Tue Nov 01, 2022 10:53 am

Colchester team stayed at the Stone Cross Manor in Kendal prior to tonight's game. Hoping we can continue our good work of late with a win. Got to miss this one. Onward and upwards. Climb one into fourth with a victory. Who'd have thought.

Always worry about footballers at any level underestimating opposition. We can't afford to do that tonight Hope Wild gets them concentrated for the game. Remember lost 3-2 at home last season - no repeat please.

Make no mistake this is a tough game. Drew there last two the last being 1-1 against highflying Stevenage. Played well from all accounts. They still have that old fox Freddie Sears up front and Barrovian Newby has always played well against us.

Colchester just tweeted out the “highlights” of that game; forgot just how woeful our defending was that night

Confident of another 3 points if we play as we have the last 2 games. 3-1 to us. Won’t be many from Colchester but stand looks pretty full other than corporate so still think we can pull over 3000 tonight.

Doesn't matter every game is different. This is a better team but we must not let our standards drop.
