Good to see Gotts back in action. Notably more triallists on the bench.

Anyone know why it’s at Kellamergh park?

I know that’s Fylde’s old ground….

Working on the drainage system I think at Mill Farm.

0-0 half time. Not a great deal to report. We look better out of possession than with it. Fylde are a decent unit moving the ball around on a very wet pitch. However we are breaking a lot of their attacks down as they approach the box.

Some nice touches and diagonals into channels. But nothing really from Duffus. Acquah spending a lot of time with his back to goal. Looking dangerous from set pieces but lacking an end product.

Wasn’t there a brick in the drainage system? #IYKYK

Yes. The drainage system was sabotaged by a disgruntled former employee of Uncle Dave’s. Thought they removed the brick some time ago but the blockage has had its effect it seems.

Much more dominant in second half. Garners strike was a peach. Sort of nonchalant strike you see in the warm up. Second goal was a tapin but we were camped in their area by then. I think both trialists played in the second half. I was impressed by both.

Having watched us toil against Fylde in past years I found it strangely heartwarming to see how far we have come as a squad. Fylde are a decent squad and certainly have one or two EFL standard players. They should not fear the NL. But ultimately we did make them look non-League. Thought we looked in pretty decent shape physically. Only worry was Whitfield who picked up an injury and was subbed.

Good win. Hopefully some highlights pretty [SwearFilter] poor there isn’t any. Nice to watch back.

Up the bluebirds and the team well done
