Many clubs have great grounds with big capacities. "Little old" Barrow are what we are. We have done things recently that not one of us thought possible, and we still are getting no credit for it. P.W will tell his players the Stockport game is just another game. But we as fans know different. I have been singing the teams praises to everyone who asks me about them. So, we will be there in numbers. Let us make sure the team and P.W hear it. Good luck boys.

Re: Stockport
What's the weather like up there? Tomorrow's forecast is good for Barrow but has anybody seen the pitch? Really hoping the weather doesn't stop this match being played when Barrow are going so well.

Weather is dry and overcast today. No rain about. Tomorrow is OK too. Pity you can't be here Russell.russell_anderson wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2023 11:06 am What's the weather like up there? Re: Stockport
Looking like we are going to have a bumper crowd tomorrow so let's all cheer the Bluebirds on to victory. It won,t be easy but I,m sure Pete Wild and his merry men can do it.Let,s raise the roof off Holker St and show Stockport just how good this team is.I,ve waited a long time to see a Barrow team as good as this one for all of fifty-six years. We need to grab this long awaited chance and prove to all the other teams that we are here on merit.Onwards and Upwards.

Every seat is now sold for tomorrow
It’s going to be great to see

Re: Stockport
Steelworks end as well, what dreams are made of. Got a city fan coming, hopefully he can get the bug, will be a v tough test though against these.

Re: Stockport
It won't be as tough as you think. We're seriously depleted at the moment. I view this fixture as tougher for us than you. Your City mate will be well up for it as they hate us for having the audacity to be better than them for about 2 seasons in our history, the term for them 'bitters' is used down here for good reason. Regardless, I hope the gravy stainer enjoys experiencing some real football in front of a passionate lower league crowd, they maybe the best team in the land & now officially the world but I have a lot of City mates who despite their success now pine for the days of the old kippax & the atmosphere generated in Maine rd. I've been to both their grounds & the new version as nice & modern as it is isn't a patch on their old home atmosphere wise.
Re: Stockport
I hope the change to the normal matchday routine doesn't have an effect on us.
Normally, the players travel up on the day before don't they?

Re: Stockport
Well yeah, Premier League seems to be holding less and less interest for supporters who have historic loyalty to an ELF club and like their football up close and personal. Not a case of 'who has the richest Arab' for us, we keep it real.animo et fide wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 12:24 amIt won't be as tough as you think. We're seriously depleted at the moment. Re: Stockport
All seats sold, home and away, so thankfully the match is on ifollow, for both sets of fans. Do we ever get to know how many pay £10 to watch? Or is that private info. for the Clubs? Does each Club keep their own subscription fees? Could be a fair sum if a few thousand tune in.

Re: Stockport
Only the seats in the stands sold out and I imagine with the new capacity, there are plenty in the gound/terrace areas for people making last-minute decisions to attend. Club has already confirmed tickets are available via Twitter/X.
Second v first is a massive fixture for Boxing Day, funny how the fixture gods impact things.
Let's do this, Barrow. Let's do it.

They wont be able to handle it being right in their faces so, they'll do their best to spoil it for them. Simple really.
