Probably time to stop the Luke Garrard thing. He’s just been relegated from the NL with Bhamwood after far too many years at that club. I’m also told the brand of football being played there last season was wretched.

Good manager. Went to BW vs Barrow season we got promoted and they were a strong, well drilled side who played good football. I remember Evatt had a lot of respect for him

Promotion with South Shields. Did a good job with Hartlepool, fans wanted him to stay. Been assistant manager at big clubs, Leicester, etc. plays attacking football, will have a host of contacts. Young hungry manager who comes across well (like wild)

Apologies I wasn’t aware you had exclusitivity on what constitutes a thread or otherwise. The other thread was about the possible departure of PW. This is about the possible appointment of a replacement, you don’t have to read it. It may well be meaningless, it may well be not, time will tell I guess. I actually hope it proves to be a meaningless thread but my gut informs differently, one statement from the club would surely put us all in a better place. Keep smiling

Hartlepool fan here in peace, I'm an occasional visitor to this forum.
When I saw this comment I had to say something... Not all Hartlepool fans wanted him to stay, his football was awful. Trying to defend leads for eighty minutes, bizarre team selections and really suspect tactics. Me personally, I was very happy we never kept him, wasn't looking forward to the season at all with him in charge.
I agree with the poster who said it would be terrible for barrow, he really isn't the answer.
Was really surprised with Pete Wild going, I was always impressed with him.
Good luck with whoever succeeds him, was really pleased with your team being challenging this season. Really nice to see .
