Who will go down with us?
Will we drag Newport down with us?
In an ideal world where we were staying up, I would prefer that Crawley and Harrogate went down. But since that isn't going to happen, then if Newport stay up we will have the dubious pleasure of sharing a division with one of those two next season.
Of course, even if we beat Newport, Crawley & Harrogate will still need to avoid losing their last game if they are to stay up.

Re: Who will go down with us?
Knowing our luck, it will be Harrogate going down with us.
Crawley and Harrogate host Salford and Barnet respectively, two form teams. Probably both lose.
Going on our recent record against other teams down the bottom, it will be Barrow 0-1 Newport.

Hopefully it’s Crawley or Newport. We’d be competing against Harrogate for similar signings

Scrapping over Emile 'Goal Machine' Acquah once he's released from Dundee.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 12:40 pm Hopefully it’s Crawley or Newport. We’d be competing against Harrogate for similar signings

Still better than what we've had this season, but that's not difficult.Cokey wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 12:53 pmScrapping over Emile 'Goal Machine' Acquah once he's released from Dundee.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2026 12:40 pm Hopefully it’s Crawley or Newport. His 2025/26 stats: 0 goals in 13 league appearances for Dundee. 0 goals in 20 league appearances for Harrogate.
You'd be disappointed with that if you were a central defender, never mind a 'striker'.

Probably Crawley who have the hardest game v Salford who need to win for a chance of promotion.

Re: Who will go down with us?
Imagine it's Harrogate that come down (in an act of symmetry), Carlisle fail in the play-offs and Fylde are already promoted. There's 18 points down the pan straight off.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Who will go down with us?
Can see Harrogate winning tbh
Crawley and Tranmere will lose and no idea about our match, we'll either play well and get beat 1-0 of a freak game and be winning 3-0 and Crawley losing 3-0 and we'll go down because of a 2 goal difference!!!!! I just hope we go out with an attacking team and say shoot on site (not happened yet but theres always a first)
Just going to be gutted if its goal difference that sends us down - look at games this season (Fleetwood, Barnet away, Gillingham, Crawley, Harrogate, Chesterfield at home) chucked away points - just 1 effort in those games to see it out and we could have been looking at win and stay up at the weekend

Re: Who will go down with us?
I have to say I hope it's Harrogate, even though that would mean playing them again and we never beat them. If they were to stay up and hence manage to remain in the League longer than us, that would be a double kick in the teeth.
No bubblewrap unpopped.
Re: Who will go down with us?
There's three constants ingrained in Barrow AFC:
- Holker Street
- Playing in Blue & White
- League fixtures against Harrogate Town

Popular side since '03.

If we beat Newport and our fans start singing going down they'll probably be a riot outside!
