Newport County (H) Pobably the last time in the EFL

Anyone feeling a bit empty inside for this one, I know for sure I am. Will be there for as long as I can endure forever the optimist until all hope is gone🥲

I’m just still really annoyed. :x

I’ll be there though.

Need to see the end of this ghastly season with my own eyes. Will hopefully bring some closure.

I think we could only muster 3 goals at Holker? In pre-season, given that we’re supposed to be a league 2, full time team. Be interesting to see if they do the usual clap around the pitch or disappear down the tunnel to sprint off on their long summer holidays.

I think quite a lot will turn up to see the last game in the EFL for some time - hopefully not a long one.
However I think many will vote with their feet and watch it on Sky instead. Probably on at some pubs so they can drown their sorrows at the same time! ;)

In two minds, the last match I remember watching and really enjoying was Port Vale away last season.
Under the cosh for a large part of it but defended heroically, bodies on the line and some big saves from Farman.
The spirit and togetherness in that team which had been missing under Clemence but Whing got a tune out of, is a million miles away from this lot.

We'll no doubt go out with a whimper again tomorrow against a Newport team that I don't believe man for man is really any better than us, just hungrier and have dug in when it counted.

A shame is what is its a sad day really last time in efl an anti clumax but we go again next season and we can hopefully get some enjoyment back and a likable team who gives it there all. I just want this nightmare season over with as there the most unlikable bunch of players i can remember and I've been coming since the 80s, only a handful are worthy of the shirt Williams Fletcher Mcann Newby Rose id include Gordon but not our player id keep Raglan for national league maybe also Rose at National league with a decent partner and midfield putting balls in should hit double figures next season, i can see a big clear out regardless if contracted some wont want to drop out efl.

Anyone thinking this shower will do anything needs to take a drugs test.

It's not the relegation it's the manner it's happened.

I feel worse than.when as a apprentice I read the vote between and Hereford had gone to anither ballot.

This shower of shit make Italians look like warriors and the only battle they ever won was to the buffet.

The only tiny consolation this time is that at least there is an approved route back (if we are ever good enough to take it!), whereas last time there was only the remote possibility of getting into the league provided you could muster enough votes.

Like everyone else on this forum (and Bluebirds who are aren’t) I am completely gutted and annoyed about our predicament, but if I was able to be there tomorrow for the curtain call I certainly would be (living in the US prevents a leisurely stroll up Holker St.). And, I’m not sure why … to watch us in the league for the last time? I was 10 when we left the league last time and as we all know, it was a long painful journey back. I sincerely hope that we aren’t in the wilderness 48 yrs again … that we get the management, coaching staff, and the players that we want to lift us up - all of us.
Along with others comments, the idea of that miracle happening tomorrow feels good, but we have to be realistic. It’s a bugger … sad … annoying … numbing.

We are luckily blessed to have a board who are also Barrow football fans, you do wonder what their appetite is for a new non league excursion with the grief and cost that goes with it.
