According to Kidderminster Harriers Fans site, George Walker (a defender with lots of pace) is on his way to us.

Finally signing a right back, just a year too late

One year deal seems strange surely we must have a option of another year

Kiddy fan on another forum I read suggests he rarely played as a defender.
Popular side since '03.

I like the sound of the blistering pace considering half our squad are cart horses. 😂

Think it might be the legacy of many crap players being signed on 3 year deals by a former football agent, and us having to carry on paying them!

Seems same on social media, most saying a right winger really. Suppose if we are playing 3-5-2 he’ll be a right wing back option

"Rapid but like bambi on ice" is how kiddy fans view him. Always take negativity from disgruntled fans of other clubs but hoping its not Kouyate mark II

Why don't we wait and see and make our own judgements when he plays for us rather than talking about what fans of the club a player is leaving are saying - we always seem to do it. The negativity (which is understandable I guess) before the lad even begins seems to symptomatic of anyone we sign at present.

The consensus then in this instance seems to be that George Walker is an 'iffy' NLN player. So with all that happened last season with recruitment we appear to be gambling again. I would like to see a few more safety shots played with experienced personnel in the mould of Sam Foley coming in. I sincerely hope the lad does well for us and he is certainly young enough to do so given this opportunity.

Just thought I'd put my tuppence in.

It’s the manager signing a player he trusts

It’s only a one year deal - I hardly think they will have broken the bank to bring him in so there’s no dangers in it

It’s the 10th June, there’s a lot to go before we get to the start of the season. Only the clubs who are throwing stupid money around are making signings at this stage. People need to be patient and not expect us to be forking out on players left right and centre

We need players in the squad who play games, not 10 minutes here and there cameos. He played 34 games last season, with plenty of 80+ mins games. So his fitness is not an issue. Perfect chance for him to step up and compete for the shirt.
