Re: Barrow Social
That was an excellent listen.
Great to hear some inside info from the promotion season and of his affection for the club.
Oh if we’d only just had 1 season of Evatt and that nucleus of the squad in the EFL!

Re: Barrow Social
It was a great listen. Sounded like former agent Steve Whiston was instrumental in breaking the squad up him being the agent for Evatt, Quigley and Rooney. Although he was also Diors agent and he was also offered twice the money he was on at Barrow by Stockport his dad advised him to take what he had earned and that was the chance to play in the EFL rather than drop down a league to play for Stockport
Re: Barrow Social
Really interesting listen, Dior is very articulate and excellent on the co-commentary games. Some great snippets from the Evatt era, amongst others. He certainly fancied Bolton, but Paul Hornby vetoed it.

Re: Barrow Social
I took a trip down memory lane in this weeks episode of the barrow social
A couple of weeks back I sat down with Steve Herbert, Pete Hawkridge and David Stowell from the 125 planning committee to hear all about their plans to celebrate th 125th anniversary of the club and to get an insight into the origins and history and some of the rare finds they have discovered

Re: Barrow Social
Hi Adam,
Given the BBC's commitment to unbias, can we expect a three-part interview with Iain Wood, Karly Bland and others namechecked in Paul Hornby's recent podcasts?

To whoever has been asking regards an interview with Iain wood
We approached and he does not wish to be interviewed so let’s just pack it up and leave it all there

Re: Barrow Social
If you are so inclined, dig out the recent-ish copy of Give 'Em Beans which included a fairly lengthy interview with Mr Wood.
