Re: Whitfield
For what its worth, I think quite a few on here are rushing to judgement at a very early stage. I can't comment on Saturday's game as I didn't see it, but from some comments you'd think we'd been hammered to a heavy defeat instead of coming away with a point. In my opinion an away side has zero obli...

Re: Barrow v Sutton utd match thread
I’d rather see the long ball so called anti football and a win than [SwearFilter] around with the ball all game and losing It’s a results game It doesn't have to be a choice between one or the other! Anyway, I thought we played some good stuff at times today, not sure what all the criticism of our ...

Re: Barrow v Sutton utd match thread
Maybe its just me, but I feel the criticism of Walker is a bit overdone. Yes, like most wingers he sometimes runs up blind alleys, but he still got some decent crosses in, particularly in the first half. He works hard, and is often available as an out ball for the defence. As for Ben Whitfield, that...

Re: Danny Rose
So you think if an employee is on let’s say £2,700 a week and can sit on it till his contract runs out. A team approach saying they want him but are willing to pay him £2,000 a week, he wouldn’t ask for a payout on their original contract to move on. It will of saved us money in the long run but ba...

Re: Barkhuizen
I have been told HE HASN'T refused to train he was excluded this has come from two people I really trust and the person who wanted him excluded wasn't Murray as the saying goes you do the maths! 😀 I was shot down for posting after the Workington game that the decision Barkhuizen was surplus was not...

Re: Danny Rose
Not too fussed he's gone. Had the odd decent game, but despite the reputation he came with I don't think he did too much of any significance for us. He certainly wasn't the sort of action man the Grimsby fans talked about.
He'll probably get Exeter promoted now!

Re: Harrogate Town v Barrow match thread
I agree it is truly awful to watch. We won’t attract any floating fans playing like that Come on fellas, give them some credit. We have lost the first two, they have banged in 8 in their first two. We need to battle first, the football can come later. We battled for everything. Their first goal was...

Re: Harrogate Town v Barrow match thread
Its a good job the team didn't admit defeat quite as readily as some of the fans on here! Well done.

Re: Charlie Ragone
He was slow yes which he can’t help but it was his poor touch against Harrogate that cost us early on in the season on the touchline, a mistake against MK Dons at home and a calamity against Bromley away for them to win it. Those are just the ones that I remember off the top of my head. The shape o...

Re: Barrow v Hornchurch match thread
IMO Murray is right, the club stinks of failure, but and its a big but, hes partly to blame. As a club and a manager they/he should have made it abundantly clear that we didnt want to keep any of those players from last year. At a push id have tried to keep MJ. The rest should have gone or been tol...

Dead right!russell_anderson wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 3:08 pmFor most of their time with us both Canavan and Foley were stand-out players for us before father time finally caught up with them and I, for one, wish them well.AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 11:55 am
Got to agree with that. Like most Barrow fans McCann was the only one I was sorry to see leave.

Re: Paul Hornby Interview
Interesting statement, evidence please. I have a screenshot from the Google Index but others have confirmed that they saw the post... They probably did that to save you from a court appearance! Thanks for your comment, nige, but there is no grounds for a "court appearance" on my part. Let...
