Blink and you missed it! Should be able to listen again. Was very lighthearted but no press is bad press.

They do a feature called getting to know you, ask a bit about the club history etc.

A bit jokey, had a bit of banter about the lack of pies. good stuff.

We need pies considering the amount of pie shops we have and we are a northern club to not serve pies is shocking.

I believe my comment was "our lack of pies means we should be thrown out of the entire footballing pyramid"

Don't think you did us any favours really, you pretty much portrayed us as a struggling run down 1950s club, you missed the chance to highlight the work being done and the investment being made to push us on.bizzare really.

Ach, it wasn't that bad..just a bit of fairly naff radio daftness ie what Talksport wanted..

As to the pies

http://www.delishbarrow.co.uk/

It cannot be beyond the wit of mankind to have pies at Barrow and in the X Bar

And beer..proper beer

Just listened to this and...yeah.

Do we have an official Press Officer, or is it Pete?

We've got two, iirc. We also engaged a PR company for the launch of the Casson era. BoxedOff, based in Liverpool.

Not arsed about pies at the game me.

Sometimes will get a burger, usually crap. If i got a pie, would probably be crap.

I reckon the people who are arsed about pies get one from wherever before the game and eat it or take it in. No biggie.

It seems to be an area that needs sorting.

What it needs is one point of contact and that name should be known to everyone rather than the haphazard system we seem to have now.

It can become 'a biggie' if the availability of quality pies contributes positively to the 'matchday experience' and in so doing, creates more income and a profit centre for the club.
