Do you actually think signs do any good?

Of course, otherwise i wouldn't of said it..... if just a handful of newbies attended games and some came back for more then it would have been well worth it.

at workington there are signposts with football signs on.why can we do that and maybe near these , next game signs, these could be portable ones so easily changed. What about one of the vehicle ones wandering around local towns with next match on it.Might cost a bit but could be worth it?

The Roiders quite often have one of those vehicle ones in use, I usually see it parked up on the side of the A590 near Lindal, very prominent

The only way you get fans to go is when you play in higher leagues and keep winning,we averaged 1400 last season with the internet,radio,newspapers,and word of mouth ,i can`t see how you would need to resort to a sign it`s 2015 not 1970!
times have changed work patterns have changed so have the distractions you canwatch games in the pub/laptop

Above all people expect and deserve a decent facility once this happens we may see more people coming back .

I dont think it makes a huge difference, but having a sign at the side of the a590 genuinely will get the odd few folk coming to a game.

At altrincham they always advertise the next game on a board and on the road off the motorway the have signs pointing the direction to the ground

I drive into Warrington most days and all the signs when you arrive at the town limits have "Warrington - home of the Warrington Wolves" on them. Could also sponsor some roundabouts on the A590 - signs up, blue and white flowerbeds etc.

Morescum used to have a Next Game board up in Asda Lancaster a few seasons back
And another just as you entered Lancaster, on the side of a shop

I don't see any harm in putting extra advertising up as long as it doesn't cost too much money and the time/resources are there.

Fliers/leaflets through doors inviting people to come along to Holker Street, along with a full fixture list printed on them could work.

I know the rugby are using e-vouchers through the Evening Mail where they sell xx number of tickets at half price (£7.50 instead of £15). Not sure if this is something we also plan to do?

The position and size of the present board is not a good one.
If you are already not aware of it, it does not stand out with being positioned with the other advertising boards around it.
The opposition team, date and kick off time are very hard to see when driving past it.
A much bigger board sited on the corner of Walney Road and Wilkie Road would be better.

How about if we got the Ground Maintenance boffins to make up a sandwich board (possibly sponsored by Subway) with "Barrow v Dover 8/8/15" on one side and 'The Football League is Nigh' on the other?

Then some young energetic types could take it in turns to walk around the town centre with it doing their bit to promote the club?

Just need a couple of good looking women with massive racks plastered on the Hollywood Park advertising boards, wearing the new ladies kit or something (if there is one) and advertising some sort of kit or ticket discount. It'll catch the eye surely.
