Re: Edmo Gone
Thanks, Darren, for your work at the club since taking charge a couple of years ago, and especially for getting us promoted last season; that final afternoon at Lowestoft will live long in the memories of those who were there, physically or in spirit. I'm sorry that things haven't worked out for you this season.
Whatever the future holds, I hope it all goes well for you.

Thanks for all your hard work for Barrow AFC, Darren. You took us forward, no doubt about it. Good luck for the future.

Re: Edmo Gone
i just hope the new manager is given licence to get rid of those "players" who have been taking edmo and paul casson for a ride!
never forget edmo for saving us from the abyss what he did then was just unbelievable and if i`m honest gave me more satisfaction than winning the league (because we weren`t being bank rolled!)
still not happy how paul casson handled this but i`d like to think deep down paul casson wanted edmo to turn it around (or am i too trusting!)
anyway if you read this edmo good luck and thanks long live the "edmolution" good while it lasted!

Re: Edmo Gone
The history books will show Darren Edmondson as one of the Barrow managers who has won a Trophy for the club. Being in a group with the likes of Don McEvoy, Vic Halom and Ray Wilkie is testament to him taking the club forward.
I am sorry that things have not gone so well this season so I wish Darren well for the future. A talented and dedicated manager.

“I don’t want us to be entertaining – I want us to be boring 1-0 winners,” the Gulls’ boss added before he switched his attention to Saturday’s home game against Bromley.

Re: Edmo Gone
Even in the event that Clara did die it is a trivial matter in Doctor Who. Death is a minor temporary inconvenience. Furthermore, it may be 'Bonnie' who died, if 'Bonnie' is not the Osgood Zygon. Maybe the Osgood Zygon will eventually turn rogue, Osbad? These matters will no doubt be addressed in a couple of years.blooberd wrote:I haven't seen last night's Dr Who yet, I thought I'd be safe on the Barrow AFC forum...sprinfield_quark wrote:It's so sad to see the demise of both Darren Edmondson and Clara Oswald. They both had fervent supporters and equally fervent detractors. Maybe they will both make an occasional future appearance at their old haunts.

I trust that I make myself clear in this matter.

PS Now that Ingrid Oliver has been released from her laboratory coat into smart casual attire I can clearly see that I definitely would.

Re: Edmo Gone
Feel quite sorry that Edmo has gone (although it was inevitable really) mainly because he was a decent bloke but so far as the football was concerned...it just wasn't good enough & apart from the odd decent win neither were the results.
He knew things had to change well before the one months notice was given but he simply wasn't able to do it for whatever reasons. I do however think he has been massively let down by some of the players he signed (and got them a good wage in the process) and that must hurt him.
I think his most impressive feat was doing what he did for us two years ago when dragging us away from the bottom of the CN (I'll never forget that day at Wukkie) far more important that winning the title last season because I dread to think what would've happened if we'd have been relegated.
Good luck in the future Darren, I hope things work out for you at your next club.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

We're all supporters on here. Let's leave the negative comments to the away fans
Re: Edmo Gone
Cox's Mansfield side won the Conference scoring 92 goals on the way. Yes please to some of that.

Re: Edmo Gone
The writing has been on the wall ever since Casson made the 6 games statement, I'd be very surprised if he hasn't been sounding someone (Cox?) out in that time, would be nice to know if others have/had been interviewed.
Nice bloke Edmo, strikes me as someone who would do well coaching somewhere but gets too pally with the players and lacks the ruthlessness needed to make it as a manager at a higher level
If it is Cox and people are expecting good football then prepare to be disappointed, his usual first signing is Exodus Geohogan
