Just because there are less of us, does that make those that are there less good fans or less deserving of success?
This is one of our furthest trips, apart from Gateshead, and so will probably be one of if not our lowest turn out. We don't get big crowds, but we don't really have a large catchment area to draw them from. Our home average is over 1700 this season, which isn't that bad imo.

Lincoln are a much bigger club then us.Zac_Zolar wrote: The Imps are averaging 4500 at home there is quite a gulf between the two clubs.
Not sure why that means that those supporters we do have are in some way inferior and don't deserve any success?
Re: Barrow v Forest Green match thread
Barrow attendances are nothing to write home about for a team challenging for a top 5 spot. For what it's worth there were also a few in the stand so nearer 50 I'd say and all got behind their team. Sometimes we come across as being nothing short of bitter when you read this sort of guff.Renfrew Refugee wrote:FGR official away support FGR V Barrow 86 - 60 more that yesterdays pathetic support from FGR challenging for promotion, with support like that FGR don't deserve to go up period.

Our Style of football is keeping our crowds down but we all know how Cox plays the game.

Forest Gump and Lincoln United discussing their respective crowds on our forum. That's just bizarre. Your own forums must be really entertaining places.FGR Fan wrote:Lincoln are a much bigger club then us.Zac_Zolar wrote: The Imps are averaging 4500 at home there is quite a gulf between the two clubs.

Anyone who has been to FGR knows that they make their crowd numbers up. Our recent visits there have had hugely inflated numbers. I presume to get the move to the new stadium they have to demonstrate a certain level of support.FGR Fan wrote:What about those of us that went to the game?Renfrew Refugee wrote:FGR official away support FGR V Barrow 86 - 60 more that yesterdays pathetic support from FGR challenging for promotion, with support like that FGR don't deserve to go up period.

I'm no expert, but as a VAT registered company, surely it would be counter-productive to over inflate when it comes to ticket sales?Si_Nichols wrote: Anyone who has been to FGR knows that they make their crowd numbers up. Must have been so difficult to get 5 mins of game without a brawl or a FGR player rolling tound in agony or a player being booked. Good editing Matthewsaltcellar wrote:Official match highlights from Barrow v @FGRFC_Official... https://t.co/2Ya3ieHNRZ

Possibly not to an owner with deep pockets who needs to meet certain criteria to make a long term move happen. Our whole support burst out laughing when the crowd was announced at our game at your place this season.FGR Fan wrote:I'm no expert, but as a VAT registered company, surely it would be counter-productive to over inflate when it comes to ticket sales?Si_Nichols wrote: Anyone who has been to FGR knows that they make their crowd numbers up. just trying to raise your profile a bit kidder. They are good and well balanced. I don't know if your interests longer term are in media, sport reporting etc, but this is a good place to start. Maybe you could grab an interview or two with some players in the future. Keep it going.
